He had 2 flagrant fouls in a span of 7 seconds, a earlier technical foul and was ejected from the game. He best get his act together .

He tends to do this crap when he’s having a bad game. He gets frustrated, another player gets under his skin and he can’t let it go. He’s got to gain control of his emotions. You don’t want to be like Draymond.

Did not see 3rd qtr technical but first flagrant looked like a good call. Could not tell about the second one . Both happened while guarding the more physical Grant Williams. It was his reaction to being ejected that I had a problem with.

This makes me so sad. Grayson is essentially starting over in Memphis and now he's got his old reputation back. Not to mention that he still isn't making shots like in his sophomore year. I don't have a good feeling about his future in the NBA right now. Very sad, one of my all time favorite Duke players.

Had that pouty spoiled look on his face as he was being tossed. I believe his only chance of staying in the league is to do what Redick did and that is to get in great shape and shoot very well.

Was looking at his stats from last year. Shot 37% from the field, 32% from 3 pt line and only 75% from FT line. He has to improve those numbers. He is close to the same size as
Tyler Hero. I believe Hero may be a better ball handler , shooter and defender.

Grayson is one of my all time favorites. But I can’t defend this. It’s Summer League and he’s getting this frustrated. Imagine if he’s ever in a heated playoff series and has a bad game.

Like the commentator says.. if he’s not going to stop this behavior, he needs to embrace it and be THE bad guy.. I would have more respect if he did these type of fouls and had no remorse (as long as he’s not hurting anyone), than doing them and holding his arms up like he didn’t do anything.

Not a good look at all for Grayson. He just can't seem to keep it together. Teams recognize it, too....they're going to continue trying to exploit it over and over. Can't really blame them.

Bad night at the office, he was definitely frustrated. Not gonna excuse it, but can we please not start this is whole thing over again. “When it happens over and over again” that’s a bit much. Dakitch is a clown btw

Dakich is definitely a clown. At one point of his rambling he said that at Duke he was enabled to do what he did. That's laughable at best.

Lastly, Grayson has built this reputation. Has the media sometimes went overboard with their takes? Certainly. But at the end of the day, Grayson is still responsible.

The nba is extremely soft if what he was called for constitutes a flagrant. Two flagrants = an ejection.
I don't think the 2nd flagrant would have actually been called a flagrant in a regular season game. But, this is summer league. Makes sense for the refs to call anything even close to questionable a flagrant foul, can't have guys getting hurt in July.
I didn't hear what Dakich said because I mute the TV whenever he is calling a game.

I think Grayson just needs to chill. This is a really bad look. However, I'm looking forward to him and Tyus on the court together. Maybe Frank Kaminsky or Sam Dekker will try to guard one of them and get destroyed again.

Absolutely, I just don’t like the superlatives and psychology discussions that we have to have every time he has a hard foul,

A friend of mine works for the NBA and was in the audience last night. he thought both calls against Allen were marginal and that they officials poorly handled the whole thing.

But I agree that this is a bad look for a player trying to find a niche with a new team.

I think Grayson is a spoiled punk. I actually think a real good *** whipping could straighten him up. AND, I think that one is on the horizon for him.

But I agree that this is a bad look for a player trying to find a niche with a new team.

The first one was an obvious non-basketball play.. it was just a blatant frustration foul.. then the 2nd one soon after has to be called (I mean, he didn’t even jump to block the shot, he just swung his arm) because of the first one and his past reputation.. because of his reputation, he has lost the privilege of being able to hard foul players and get away with it.

And like I said, Grayson is one of my all time favorites.. I wish he would just embrace the bad guy role (like Rasheed Wallace, Ron Artest, etc.) and not hold his arms up like he’s innocent after he commits a hard/flagrant foul.

I always loved Grayson, but come on man, just STOP. Get it together dude. We were just talking last night about what a great ambassador for Duke that Nolan is and what we thing Zion will be, and then Allen’s temper puts him in the negative spotlight......again.
CHILL G!!!
But I also agree with what others have said. I only saw one of the fouls, and it didn’t look to me like it should have been a flagrant. I didn’t see how he was acting afterwards, and for him, sometimes that’s worse than the foul itself.

The second flagrant was laughable. When he commits a crime call me. I played dirty players all the time growing up but that didn't make me think any less of them off. He could be better but nothing egregious happened.

Had not seen video of Williams knocking Grayson’s teammate to the floor. If his hard fouls were a retaliation his teammates will give him more respect.

Not condoning what Grayson did, 1st foul was maybe flagrant, 2nd I felt was kind of weak, but I know Grayson has built a reputation. However Grayson is no "spoiled punk" (see Wisconsin title game 2015, and him literally giving his body up for loose ball and fueling Duke comeback).Nobody is going to give that scrappy kid "a good *** whooping." They might try, but he'll fight back!

Meanwhile good to see this blowup today in the face of Duke Hater Dan Dakich-

Because of a frustrated push of a guy known for being an agitator? That’s dumb. What NBA players give a good *** whipping? You sound like a UK fan.

Yea, I've never seen a fight break out in an NBA game. Especially never in the locker room. STFU.

It's nice ya'll back him through the fire. I have before. Just own up to it, when he's frustrated, he lashes out. Then acts like a damn 10 year old heading to the locker room.....every time. It's old. Real old.

Ya'll can pile on now, I don't care. Ain't a damn ONE of you here loves Duke University anymore than I do. But I'm man enough to call it what it is. Grayson can't keep his emotions in check, and playing a MANS game, that's pretty important.

Yea, I really dig the "I think I hurt my hand " move after he FKs up. That helps not look at all the hecklers, it's easier to keep your eyes down fake examining your injury.

C'mon, Show. It's not a big d*ck contest to see who loves Duke more. Also, just because one person thinks differently doesn't mean either side is out of touch or afraid to call it like it is.

Grayson can keep his emotions in check. In fact, most of the time he does. Problem is, sometimes he doesn't. He's created a certain persona and he's been labeled....deservedly so. I wish he'd stop and circle it in to speak, but I don't think he's a punk and I don't think he needs an *** whooping. He might need to grow up some, though.

dukiejay, you are correct, and I probably should not have called him a punk. Poor choice of words. Especially considering , I like him a lot. But he does constantly let me down. But I won't walk away from the issue. He does Bush league **** quite often, and yes, I realize he get's pushed by a lot of players who know that. Still it grates on my nerves.
