Grayson tripping again...

In that full sequence, it all happens so fast I can't say for sure that Grayson was responding to the head slap or if he was aware Mayes was starting up-court when he stuck his leg back. If that's just my oblivion to world-class athlete reaction time, then the head slap was relevant.

This ain't an FSU board, though, and I may not see any more of their games this season. In that sense, I don't care about Mayes. I care about Grayson, and I don't like his participation in it. I am, however, going to defend him just as much as I correct him, just like K would. It's like your kid brother: You can rough him up, but nobody else better rough him up. Or parenting: There's a difference between punishing your kid and abusing your kid. So I'm going to call his behavior out for being brash and immature, but I'm going to have his back when other fans and those Duke fans who only show up when they have something negative to say try to pile on, and I'm going to stop short of going overboard in my criticism, as if a big display of tough words calling for more extreme consequences is going to impress anyone.

You're just sounding like a huge homer now. The context is Duke was up 15 with like 5 seconds left in the game. Mayes had been talking a lot of crap to Grayson and they had been playing physical. Grayson retaliated and tripped him. You can see Grayson trip him. It doesn't matter what Mayes was saying or how physical he was playing - you don't retaliate.

Pisgah is a homer?!?!? I don't give a **** if Duke was up by 50 or down by 50. You play until 0:00 is on the clock. So you're saying Duke should stand there with their thumbs up their asses because they're winning by 15. Why didn't FSU just throw ball in instead of trying to run a play????

Uh, what? No, I'm saying Grayson shouldn't have tripped him. I placed it in the context of the game since pisgah seemed to think people were taking his trip out of context. No where did I indicate that Duke shouldn't have been playing until the clock struck 0:00.

Yes. It's a shame that we can't just enjoy a damn victory. It seems like there is ALWAYS some kind of drama to address after Duke wins. And I know it's the nature of the beast, but it's old.
