If this article doesn't move you, on some level, you're not human. Incredible. This is life, tangled with basketball, but life, and the lessons to be learned and applied down the road. Everything is not all fun and games.

i couldn't read it all. Too difficult. Hits too close to home for me at this point. Great article indeed but will have to read it all slowly at another time. Definitely hard to read if you've experienced anything like this.
Speechless. Another reminder of the importance of cherishing every single moment with your loved ones. His father sounds like a great man.
That's a tug on the old heart strings. I hate that for the family, but the great thing is there is enough love and support in there family tree that they will prevail.
No credit to me at all, I just saw it on the National board and thought it would be a great read for us, for a number of reasons (including, for myself, a bit of perspective...)
