Actually, I can see his point. Reagan was an underdog. According to polls near the 1980 election, Carter was ahead, in some, well ahead. We all know what happened.

Trump, likewise was given no chance. We all know what happened.
Depends on how you interpret his words.
Then he got it wrong. Bush had more. But Trump's upset clearly much bigger than Bush's. I even think his upset victory was bigger than Reagan's. I don't think Reagan was given much of a shot to win, but he was given a better shot than Trump. What did the NY Times say, 98% chance Hillary wins?
Sad think is, it was pointed out to him in presser that Obama had more electoral votes in each of last 2 elections. He blamed his assertion on"bad information". He's repeated this false claim many times and is too stupid to realize how wrong he is. He's clearly insane.

And oh by the way, Benghazi was caused by a video. And yes ISIS is the JV team (can't put on Labron's shirt and claim you're Labron. I could go on and on.
And these are far more important topics than electoral votes.

I will say this. Trump's win was the biggest electoral upset in the history of this country. Do you disagree?
