Fleetwood Mac, Cincinnati 97, followed closely by the Eagles in Cincinnati 03 or 04, I think. I’d have to look that one up to be for sure. There are no bands these days. Even if there was, they wouldn’t understand harmony.

* Altamont, San Francisco, California, Dec. 1969, it was a Hell of a time.
* Who, Cincinnati, Ohio, Dec. 1979, it was a rush and they crushed it.
* Beverly Hills Supper Club, Southgate, KY, May 1977, John Davidson was smoking hot that night.

Paul McCartney. There isn't a number 2.

The Wosrt, Eric Clapton. I'm not sure if his dog died that day or what. it was bad. By any means, it was bad,

Lumineers as the last mass gathering in Louisville (i guess the riots don't matter). Many riots after that.

1.)Travis Tritt! Surprisingly great. Guy never left the stage. He played ACDC, Skynard, Alabama,etc...2.) Bon Jovi when he mixed in Country. J Nettles came out on stage. Had no desire to go to this concert, but it was the wife's birthday present. Shocked how good it was!

Michael Jackson, Bad tour 1988 Nice, France stadium. Stood 20 feet from MJ the entire concert. The pit moved to every song, and if you went down they would find you trampled to death 2 hours later. Unbelievable show and atmosphere. This was when he was on top of the world.

AC/DC in Charleston, WV 1990'ish Razor's Edge tour. Arena never sat the entire concert.
Elton John/Billy Joel Freedom Hall early 2000's?
I thought the Paul McCartney show in Rupp last year was damn good.

Journey and The Pretenders in Rupp got cancelled this year. Was really, really looking forward to that one.

And let me add the worst show I have ever been to was Janet Jackson in Rupp a couple of years ago. 2017 I think. She had cancelled a couple of times in a row and I sure got the impression that she knew if she cancelled again she would never be welcomed back. So what did she do, she put all her songs together. Yup she would play like 4 songs in 5 minutes. Really felt like she couldn't wait to get out of Rupp. I will never see her again.

- Motley Crue - ‘87 at Freedom Hall (it was free and I got to motor boat a cheerleader in the back seat on the way home. Good times.)
- Pink Floyd - ‘87 at Rupp
- Pearl Jam - ‘94 at Louisville Gardens
- Pink Floyd - ‘94 at RCA Dome in Indy
- Page & Plant - ‘94 at Rupp
- Hullabaloo - 2010 at Churchill Downs (it was hot as Hades but it was free & I got to see several bands over 3 days. It’s a shame the event lost money because it was supposed to be an annual event)
- Jimmy Buffet - early 90’s at Riverfront (the music was decent but the atmosphere was awesome. We wound up hooking up with some chicks from Cincy. Good times)

Oddly enough...

- Stone Temple Pilots - early 90’s at Louisville Gardens in Louisville (It was another freebie...but they also sounded really good. That is a great venue for live music so maybe that’s why they sounded so good...regardless, I remember it being a really good live performance)

Huey Lewis and The News back in the mid 80's at Rupp. Will never forget the sound of a packed Rupp Arena stomping their feet to the cadence of a heartbeat before Heart of Rock N Roll.

The worst headliner I’ve ever seen was Bob Dylan and it isn’t even close. I’ve seen some openers that were worse but they’ve faded into nothingness

I have seen a lot of the classic groups, Who, U2, Springsteen, Stones, Pearl Jam, et al. The U2 concert in 1987 in front of a SRO crowd at Rupp for Joshua Tree was amazing, as was PJ in 2004 or so, first concert I took my then 14 year old daughter to.

But some of the other concerts I would say were a lot of fun included Dwight Yoakum at EKU a few years ago, on the 3 Pears tour, loud as hell but a great show. On the other end of the scale noise wise was Over the Rhine in Frankfort, just a husband and wife, a piano and a guitar, but a really well done show.

On the rock bottom side of concerts however, I saw Alice Cooper one time, and he was so dreadful you just had to laugh.

I was there, it was a great show, although no one cared in the aftermath
Same here. We saw crazy **** but got in early. I had no idea until my dad told me. Had a great time but wondered why there was a giant pile of clothes in the entry lobby. I must have walked by those doors hundreds of times since then but only have sad thoughts closer to December 3rd.

I will add David Gilmour to my list, saw him in Chicago his last tour of NA, phenomenal show.

I saw Roger Waters in Yum a couple years back and it was a great show but could not match Gilmour.

If you we are going for worst then far and away it's Eric Clapton in indianapolis about 15 years ago or so. I'm not sure if his dog died that day or what but he didn't want to be there. He played or maybe an hour with absolutely no energy, played Somewhere Over The Rainbow as his last song, got into an argument with some guy as mad as I was going off the stage and never came back.

I doubt I'll ever recapture the thrill of seeing Yes and their laser light show in the 70's. As a high schooler it was mind blowing. If I saw it today I can guarantee I wouldn't be all that impressed but back then.... WOW. I couldn't stop talking about it for weeks.

Purple Rain Tour November 14, 1984 in Greensboro. I was 16 at the time and drove to Greensboro from Fayetteville after school with my sister and two friends. It was a Wednesday night (a school night) and we got home pretty late. I had cool parents that let me do stuff like that. It was one of the early shows on the tour. Prince rocked it.

Both times I've seen the Foo Fighters. The first time was opening for the Chili Peppers.
