Check out The Westerner
Or "My Darling Clementine." Henry Fonda (Wyatt), Tim Holt (Virgil), and Ward Bond (Morgan) as the Earps. Victor Mature played Holliday, he couldn’t hold a candle to either Quaid or Kilmer but it’s impossible to make Doc boring. It’s a fun film.

Ford directed this. Some directors are never boring, Ford, Hawks, Spielberg, QT.

Garner and Robards in Hour of the Gun. Though much it's a fairy tale, it's still well done.

Super picks by everyone.

Another great one which might have been mentioned:

She Wore A Yellow Ribbon. The best of John Ford's famous cavalry trilogy starring The Duke in one of his legendary roles. A couple enduring scenes from that flick:

Wayne's troop leaves the fort with a couple chicks in tow (long story); and Sergeant Quincannon as an Irish mauler with an affinity for jokes and alcohol...not necessarily in that order.

They don't make them like this anymore.
