i also loved when coaches would smoke on the sidelines during games. Like in the 70s in the NFL. Classic.

A college coach should have a consistent image

For Rutgers
- Black or Navy suit
- white shirt
- all red scarlet tire or scarlet tie with black stripes

It is like a uniform that needs to be consistent

This is good for Pike and Barchi. Hobbs not so much

this is not Rutgers branding with a gray suit and purple tie (unless it is a coaches vs cancer week)

i'll translate what he is saying. Today the looks are a lot more tailored and fit vs 10 years ago. The way everything is cut now, down to Tshirts and even sweats is alot more tight ( slim fit) type of look which is what you are seeing.

I think Cali is saying that the cut of the suits is better, not necessarily the quality of them. It is interesting how much better a form fitting cut (or custom made) suit will look.

I live in So. Cal. Saw that Mick Cronin was allocated a $60,000 allowance for suits when he signed on at UCLA. Seems a lot, but then b-ball coaches dress for more than 12-13 games a year.
