Alright, there seems to be interest in keeping this weekly showdown going, so we’ll plan on having a contest each game week.
As far as the format goes, there have been some good ideas about how we can add structure, but I really just want to keep this as simple as possible so that we don’t get into any ridiculousness with people not qualifying due to missing various deadlines or not posting things just right. So here are the rules.
1. I will create an official entry thread each Friday morning of a game week.
2. Within that thread, an entrant is only required to do two things. Provide a full description of your gameday spread and post at least one pic of the finished product. Anything beyond that may get you some bonus votes but is not required
3. Only your initial post with meal description will be counted for upvotes, so again… please only edit that post if you need to add pics or post an update later. Don’t create a new post
4. Judging will finish each Sunday evening
5. I cannot promise a prize each week, BUT I will be keeping track of weekly winners, and there will be some form of reward for the grand champion at the end of the season
For the schedule, there were different opinions on whether we should have themes or not, so I thought we’d compromise by having a mix of some weeks with themes and others that are wide open. Here’s the plan
NC State - Anything goes
Memphis - Pulled pork and/or ribs
LSU - Cajun
A&M - Beef
Bama - Anything goes
Vandy - Anything goes
Kentucky - Chicken, bourbon
Arkansas - Pork
Auburn - Seafood
TN State - Anything goes
OM - No contest (Thanksgiving)
