This historical team deserves a new thread.

I will be in Rupp next Saturday for Delk's jersey retirement and Cal's 100th win in Rupp Arena.

Re: GYER25-O

It's going to be fascinating to see how Gotfried manages to blow this lead 10 point lead with 5 left.

UK rolls. Uva squeaks by. Unc gets smoked. UL loses at home to Mark Gottfried.
OSU loses. One of Duke or Cuse will lose.

Pretty sure college basketball is my Valentine.

Have to give LSU credit. I'm sure most thought they would lay a turd after shooting their wad against us. Good win for them.

Watched "Kingsmen" last night. Kind of hard to put your finger on it. Wasn't what I was expecting from the previews. I liked it. Starts out sort of Bondish, but scattered elements of comedy and zombies. And a very lovely portrayal of our state.

Family dinner tonight, smoking 4 racks of ribs.

Re: GYER25-O

I saw Kingsman last night as well.

Pretty much same review as yours.

Although, I wouldn't call one hateful church as a portrayal of our state.

Definitely worth seeing.

I understand the movie ended on somewhat of a bum note.

Sorry, Brooksie. My heart is still in the Bluegrass even if my address is not.

O/U on the all-Star game is 301. Why even bother to have a game at this point? Haven't watched in years and likely won't tonight.

Because it's a fun exhibition weekend to showcase the great current players and bring back former greats. When the competition is the Pro Bowl and the MLB All Star game, I can't criticize the NBA too much.

Not sure what it's like in Lou but if you're in Lex and don't absolutely need to be out, stay the f*ck it. Pretty rough out there.

Re: GYER25-O

Yep. Roads are rougher in Lexington than they were in Nicholasville, and I-64 got worse the farther east I went. Winchester is rough.

Lexington supposedly had road crews on shift at midnight for this. I saw no evidence of that at all. New Circle was sketchy at 6:15 this morning, and it will only get worse.

Car dealerships.

I was on New Circle around 7, didn't see a patch of pavement. Kind of like a groomed ski slope. No worries in the Jeep, but this is gonna be a damn obstacle course going home. No relief in sight, temps dipping below 0 midweek, and then possibly another snow.

WINTER!!!

Re: GYER25-O

- Not a pleasant experience heading to work this morning but everyone seemed to be taking it slow and using common sense.

- This streak can't end in Knoxville. It just can't.

Athens-Bonesboro area has about 6" and it's white conditions. 2" per hour at least.Pretty intense.

I'm just going to sleep at Spearmint Rhino.

Seems the weather bastards finally got one right. Not sure I'll be able to stay in the office much beyond lunch time or I'll risk not being able to get my car out.

So much for getting any work done from home. Spent last 2 hours watching SNL episodes. What up with that?

Re: GYER25-O

Wed-Friday cold see temps in the -20 range w/out wind chill factored in.

Good news is the temps seem to be staying below freezing at least the next 10 days.

Re: GYER25-O

Where are you seeing those temperature predictions? I mainly use the NOAA and they have it at -8 on Wednesday night and -4 on Thursday night,

Temps in high 30's, low 40's on Saturday.

It was -2 last year the pipes broke all across the region. Just a heads up, that is something you really need to tend to regardless of the age of your home.

Boat, they pop all the time in the bonus rooms over the garages in the McMansions.

Just ordered a pizza because I know it will take two hours to get here. What should I tip the driver?

Actually, I just checked. Kinda felt silly doing so but I called the secretaries of state for KY and OH and they informed me that NKy is, in fact, in KY. Apparently OH starts NORTH of the Ohio River. Got some pretty rude comments, like "what, you didn't notice the giant "Welcome to Kentucky!" signs on the bridge?" and a "what's your driver's license say? Idiot." not to mention a "Hold on, let me check my 2nd graders geography textbook (hangs up)" and finally a "Learn state borders, *******" which I thought was unnecessary.

So, in conclusion, I should have gone with my gut, which told me that NKY is actually in KY and just ignored your comment. Makes me wonder if you're wrong about everything else.
