In all honesty, be careful out there.

If you're really out of shape, don't go shovel snow for an hour. Can't even count the number of heart attacks that come in.

And please done be like these idiots up here who go up on their roof to clean snow off (granted, we've had 7 ft in 3 weeks). We've put epidurals in at least a dozen 40-50 year old men trying to clean their roof and fall, breaking a bunch of ribs.

So you're telling me NOT to go climb up on my roof in a snowstorm because there's a risk of serious physical injury?!?!?!?

I mean, you've posted that you went to medical school, so I'm inclined to trust this advice, but OTOH wildcat73 just tried to convince me that NKY was in fact not in KY. So I'm not sure what to believe.

Re: GYER25-O

Chad loves snow.

Shoveling snow leads to heart attacks.

Heart attacks kill people.

So basically Chad wants your family to die.

-I'd tip the guy $20 for making him get out in this. Dead serious. Kind of a dick move.

-Various places have it well into the high teens. I use about 5 different combos b/w local and national.

To be honest even though I like the area I tend to forget that NKY is actually a part of the state. True Story.

In all seriousness, I like LaRosa's. And the Reds. Bengals are ok. I park in Covington to walk across the Roebling Bridge to Reds games, because that's just what you do. I like the Mac-N-Cheese dishes at Keystone, though they are overpriced. The Aquarium is overpriced unless you have an annual pass. And I enjoy goetta.

Re: GYER25-O

So it's basically a foregone conclusion that Louisville & Kentucky are placed in the same region, right? Especially if they're a 4/5 seed. They can't be in Virginia's or Duke's, and they're not getting sent out west, so I'm just going to assume it will happen.

Can't decide how to feel about that. We're better than they are, it's a bad matchup for them, Cal's in Rick's head, etc. And if we play 10 times, we'll win 9 of them, but if the impossible happens and they somehow knock us out? Ugh. High risk, low reward.

I didn't order a pizza just wanted to see if I could get at least one, "what kind of an ******* orders a pizza on a day like this?"

But seriously, I think those guys would make some bank today, you know minimum tips are like $10 or you hope they would be.

It would be nice to get a decent bracket and for me a decent bracket is staying away from games that will drive me bonkers until the elite 8 game, at least. Don't want IU in second game or UL,UNC in sweet 16. I think we'd beat all of them of course but I'd rather face other teams and if we could avoid all rivals until final four or later I'd easily take it.

I think only 1 of Duke and UVa will end up with a #1. Thinking Wisky gets the 4th. Also after 4 seeds geography is not taken in consideration.

Re: GYER25-O

Flip side, this team has proven it plays to it's potential with the lights on. So I'd almost prefer playing teams with big names like IU, UL, Texas rather than a team like Notre Dame, Utah,or Iowa(State where they might get over looked.

Re: GYER25-O

Jones: Early on he has an open practice and invites media.
You'd think that a coach would be on his best behavior right? In front
of the entire Kentucky media section, Josh Harrellson doesn't dive to a
ball at practice. Gillispie takes Josh to the side and has a manager
roll the ball on the ground and makes Josh dive on the ball 75 straight
times. It was painful to watch. The entire media group was watching
this kid fall on the floor. He was clearly hurting himself time after
time after time, right in front of us. It was bizarre.

Moss: One particular drill that I'll always remember. Freshman Matt Pilgrim
off his shin. Gillispie stopped practice and demanded a manager bring a
rack of basketballs over. He then instructed Miller to post up on the
low blocks. As he posted, Gillispie grabbed ball after ball off the
rack, firing line drives into Miller's shins. "Come on, Darius!" "What's
wrong, Darius?" It was a humiliating moment for the rookie. Thankfully,
Miller's teammates reassured him afterwards that they had his back.

Gosh, it's right out of Air Bud.

Kudos to Gillispie for making them tougher. It was his expert tutelage that ultimately led them to thriving under Cal.

Re: GYER25-O

I saw him at dinner at a restaurant later that night. He again came up to my table and stood there and said, "Did you know I've been married twice. Both my wives are dead." I said, "Coach, I thought you were divorced just once." He said, "No, both my wives are dead. Do you want to know how they died?" I said sure. He said, "The first one died from eating poisonous mushrooms. And the second one died from a blow to the back of the head when she wouldn't eat the poisonous mushrooms."

The rapey/creepy stories are certainly a new twist on the "BCG is gaping dickhole" narrative.

Gillispie allegedly kept driving around New Circle Road (in Lexington) to keep from having to meet with (Kentucky Athletic Director) Mitch Barnhart. He knew it was coming. Everyone knew it was coming. It was a circus. Media camped out in front of Memorial Coliseum. It was an absolute circus.

Gillispie stories are going to wind up like the opposite of Bo Jackson stories. People will just be making up outrageous things and everyone will believe them because why not?

He basically did the same thing at TT, right? Hid out, then checked into rehab or some **** to avoid being canned?

I would like to point out that Ritchie saw Gillispie around town roughly 137 times in his two years in Lexington, and nary once saw him take even a sip of alcohol.

I like how Harrelson kinda sorta sticks up for Gillispie, then at the end is like, "Oh, yeah, I'd NEVER play for him again tho".

I did see him and his entourage at Harry's on Tate's Creek quite a bit. When you walked by he would stare at you to see if you were looking at him to make you avoid looking at him. It looked like he just drank ice tea but I'm sure there were mixers.

Kind of agree. Not that I think anything is really wrong but I also guarantee UK had him sign some type of confidentiality agreement for that 3M. Regardless the whole ordeal is one that I could easily never think about again.

-Still coming down as hard or harder out here. Shoveled the walk way about and hour ago and can barely tell b/w snow and drifts. Our snow removal truck guys actual got stuck here for about an hour.

Team Beavis on this one

Have shoveled the driveway close to 3 times just to stay ahead. My driveway is sloped so if it gets packed down, then it isn't melting for weeks.

-if you haven't bought a steel snow shovel, then go on Amazon and get one for next year.

This snow is the type a leaf blower would probably do well with. We don't get powder very often. Typically its that wet ****. Can't even pack a snowball with this stuff.
