Re: GYER27-0

Ha, Marcus Lee seems like the overall happiest kid on the team...he was playing his air guitar per usual in the closing seconds vs. Auburn.

I'm sure he wishes he played more, just like any other kid, but

Marcus Lee busted out the ole 6-string when Lanter drop that 3-bomb, too. His head is on straight. He's happy.

That's easily the coolest/funniest bench reaction of all-time, imo.

Man. Didnt take local bloggers much time to completely throw Chris under the bus. Bad teammate, cancer, morale will be better, Q, locker room, playing loose now, etc. They hit all of the cliche' comments within seconds. The reality: They lost a big part of their offense, and dont defend near as well without him. Gone in the first weekend, imo.

Re: GYER27-0

KC have solid game against cAts. Get team involved lead team in assists. Not look shot much against cats but go 2-2 from 3. Better than Bookr for cats who go 1-3 great shooter. KC team undersize so KC get rebounds. 3 def rebounds for KC. KC try score more but Anthony Ma$e kid shoot too much. So KC focus on pass. Respek Coach Capari tho. Grate team no lose games win championship.

Re: GYER27-0

most enjoyable part of the schadenfreude reading UL message boards yesterday? When one of them has some brief outbreak of sanity and clarity and asks why they have so much drama every single year while UK and Cal never does. And the instant hysterical reaction:

BLARG BLARG UK PLAYERS ARE ONLY THERE 6 MONTHS, 9 MONTHS, NOT ENOUGH TIME TO HAVE TURMOIL OR DRAMA, THEY HAVE NO RULES TOO BREAK, LOUISVILLE MAN, #L1C4 BLARG BLARG

'73 stolt my Tim Miller routine, btw.

-Jared Stillman --------> he's a dweeb of EPIC proportions, I think we all agree on that.

But, I don't think he's that bad -- he's pretty straight forward kinda like Vanetti (only not cool or funny). He basically disagrees with most all of Deener's homer takes, and calls out the Cards, their present, and their gloomy future on a daily basis. Dunno, compared to all the blind/homer people on the Card Media scene, I think he's one of the most bearable, if you can get past the fact he's a complete douchebag.

Are you still taking melatonin? That's been known to do it.

Haven't seen Boyhood or Theory of everything yet. Whiplash looks interesting. Liked the Imitation Game, American Sniper, and Grand Budapest hotel. Birdman...the acting was good, it's just weird.

Other than NPH's intro and Lady Gaga's Sound of Music tribute (can't believe I just said that), didn't care much for the Oscars this year.

Also working till Nashville, cant wait.

Thanks buddy. Good way to start a morning. "Better tha bookr for cats."

-Honestly it may not be a bad idea for Lee to transfer somewhere after the season but that doesn't mean he's unhappy with his situation. It may benefit him, exactly like Wiltjer, to go somewhere he can be the focal point. He doesn't play late b/c he's a 33% FT shooter.

There isn't a bigger character guy on the team and certainly not a bigger first off the bench to greet the guys and throw down an air guitar.

-I loved the part where we would candidly and not so candidly make fun of a recruits dad to his (digital)face on HOB. What a weird *** era of UK basketball.

-TV is the only UL guy I can tolerate and Jennings is a bumbling dolt so I won't even tune in for that.

-It has to just eat the boys up over on Floyd that Jones has a source inside. I bet they're tearing that place apart KGB style trying to plug that hole. As for the fans, if Ramsey, Fat Howie or Deener were breaking all our misfortunes it would drive me bonkers.

Welp, looks like Chris is heading to "anger management" and a visit to John Lucas, who must LOVE the Cardinal program for constantly referring him business.

Rick doesn't want to play LPT again this year because of their inbred fans, so he kicked Chriz off the team with the idea of dropping to a 6-10 seed. Chriz was a cancer anyway so this is addition by subtraction. This way he won't have to play Calamari and will have MEGA and the Cardz rolling with this new lineup come tournament time. CRP is a hall of fame coach and always thinking ahead. I love this move.

Minus a couple of words, this is basically what Len Elmore said about the Chris Jones situation during his broadcast of the Virginia/FSU game last night. Something about "Pitino values character more than wins" or something.

Re: GYER27-0

-I want Marcus Lee to stay just so it can prove that a McD's AA can come and develop over a 3-4 period instead of immediately looking to bolt for the league. Also, we're gonna need that kid this year, since we may have four bigs leave, and only one currently scheduled to come in. And selfishly, I love it when Senior Days matter, like it did with Darius and will matter again with Alex(probably).

-Tyus Battle doesn't include UK on his final list. Surprised....thought Slice had gotten us in there.

-Even more impressed with Sean Miller after his "Men of March" special. Still #1 on my list of replacements.

-About to get all Chris Jones with our insurance company re:hospital bills. Typed up a grievance yesterday, hopefully that will do the trick.

I get homerism, to a point. What is annoying is someone like Howie. Immediately following, he alluded to SEASON LONG locker room turmoil surrounding Chris Jones. As a professional journalist, shouldn't he be sharing that as it came up, rather than sweeping under the sunshine and daisies carpet, then using it to throw a player under the bus later? Complete BS.

Like or dislike Matt, he isn't afraid to discuss negative issues concerning the program. For example - the air gun and bar fight episodes. He covered them on his blog, radio show, and tweets. Howie and company would have avoided it at all costs, and brought up some 2 1/2 star WR from Florida that was considering UofL.

JBone is still awful. Claimed this morning that with #1 #1 overall Rozier & Mega that UL will still go into 90% of every game with the very best 2 players on the court.

Re: GYER27-0

So I'm all about crackpot conspiracy theories, especially in relation to sports. So take this post with a grain of salt. But last night we are waiting for our table at Mesa Grill, and in walks a nicely dressed older gent with an age appropriate nicely dressed woman. And the dude looks spot on Seth Greenberg. Like, looks ALOT like him. And both he and the woman, who I assumed was his wife, are drinking beers out of the can with Tennessee orange "T" cousies. Both of them.

Now, I realize Greenberg was in Arizona on Saturday, and after a google search, the woman was not Greenberg's wife, but man, this looked a lot like Greenberg. I didn't go all ToddMFHarris on him, but damn, sure looked like him.

I know UT's coach has some NCAA issues, and I'm not sure why they'd be looking at Greenberg, but maybe he's the next UT coach. Or maybe he's somehow a UT fan. Or maybe his date is a UT fan. Or maybe it was some random UT fan who looks like Seth Greenberg. Probably that one. Anyway, it's a slow *** Monday, wanted to share my admittedly laughable sighting/theory/doppelganger.

Wouldn't mind seeing Terry getting back going a bit, personally. He's played like COMPLETE dogshit over the past several games...

Need him to keep that draft stock high to ensure the *complete* dismantling of the UofL basketball program entering next season.

Agree. Really hoping he averages 20+ from here on out. Not sure MEGA's ego will be able to handle that though.

The lass and I decided to watch a movie ystdy. Had no desire to take in any of the Oscar nominations so checked out Jersey Boys. Solid. Could have been better I suppose.

Kind of knew where the storyline was headed. What a unique voice Valli had.

Re: GYER27-0

Just based on CRP's history of suckering players back when they have no reason to stay, Terry will either be back or will DEFINITELY be leaned on heavily to come back. Expect the media to start talking about how he's not ready, could use another year (without Chris ball hogging or some BS), etc. This talk will ramp up once they lose in the tournament. Mega probably gone, but might get similar treatment as well. Absurd he's back this season.

Re: GYER27-0

- Cats get 110 on a night where they only knock down 6 treys and nobody scores 20 points.

- Saturday was one of the more fun days I've had in awhile. Rolled to Taste of Belgium for brunch (best waffle in town and a side of goetta) and didn't get back to the lass's place until midnight. Snowed all day. It was awesome.

- This team still has another gear. Been waiting for Cal to unleash them.

- Hit the hay at 9pm last night. I should just do that every Sunday. Feel remarkably better and more fresh than a usual Monday.

- I've got nothing for the Oscars. Nothing.

that Auburn shot 11-19 from 3 and lost by 35.

Was reading the thread on the UL site about Rozier going pro or not. One guy says it would be a stupid move, and as evidence he uses Danny Manning and Antoine Walker. Said one guy stayed and got his degree, the other left early, and look at them now. Lol! Yep Walker leaving early definitely hurt him. He only made 100$ mill in his career.
Absolute idiots over there.

Re: GYER27-0

CRP (HOF) gave Chris another shot. CRP knows from personal experience how important it is to give someone a chance a redemption (see 2013 title after being dragged through the mud, federal court for NOTHING compared to what goes on in Lexington) but we have to remember that's all it is... a chance. In the end, character is what matters and what a PROGRAM is built on. Hopefully Chris gets help, but he blew a big time chance to play for a HOF coach in CRP. Proud of our program to stand for something more than $$$. L1C4 means something.
