I'm always in favor of not rushing to judgment on these deals, but the entire sequence of events looks pretty bad.

Looks like he's just a complete psychopath.

Despite his past anger issues, anyone who was around him, even respectable people like Paul Rodgers loved him, thought he was a "great kid" despite his flaw, etc, etc. Always came across great in interviews, etc.

Damn.

So he sends the text, gets suspended, and talks about how it was a wake-up call, and how it's going to make him a better person & learn from it, etc., then goes out that SAME night and "allegedly" rapes/sodomizes TWO more women, of which the text gal wasn't even one of them?

Jesus.

Oh, and how
was XRM last night?

30 points in the final 4 minutes?
That's incredible.

...I saw him do a 'mini' version of that earlier this season vs. UNC in the closing minutes -- In the closing seconds when UNC had barely escaped, Paige even walked up to him to shake his hand laughing like "damn, man"

That kid can flat score.

So, sodomy includes oral? I always think of it as anal rape, isn't that usually the case?

Seems the only way you could do the other would be to force your head down there, or hold someone at knife/gunpoint and make them go down.

- RE: the rape charge

I'm not going to jump the gun on that one. I'll wait and see. There are too many examples to list on that one (Tubman, Duke lacrosse, Kobe, etc).

With that said, there is constant drama around Pitino's program. It has to be exhausting for their fanbase (the reasonable part). And then you have the other **** in their athletic department- hiring a piece of crap like Petrino again and continuing to take other program's disciplinary cast-offs.

This will be put on Jones by the media (already has), but it's time someone took a hard look at what the hell is going on in that athletic department.

- Onto lighter things...digging Cawood's new GYER28-0 gimmick. Like it a lot. What a season.

- Every now and again, the twins- guys who play more like bulls than jaguars- will flash their athleticism and you're like, "where the hell did that come from?" What about that oop to Aaron? Dude HUNG in the air. Andrew's had a couple of those moments this year, too. If they showed a little more of that, their NBA stock would rise.

- BTW, 73, it's not a Louisville Fan Move using just first names for the twins. I'm not going write out first and last names every time.

- This is the best midrange team we've had at UK since '97. It's rare to see a team so accomplished from 15-17 ft but this team balls in that range. Lyles is one of the better midrange guys I've seen in years. Booker is cash anywhere. Both Aaron and Andrew are solid on the pull up. Same with Ulis. Even our bigs have shown that shot.

- Pretty ridiculous how we're able to toy with teams on the road. Go up 15 like that, dick around for a bit, then just step on the gas for a couple minutes and it's a blowout.

- I don't know what to think about Duke. Part of me is wowed by their clutchness, offensive firepower, Okafor, Coach K, etc. but then another part tells me we've seen this before (awful D, softness inside, reliance on the 3, etc) and I can't see them winning 3 games in the NCAA.

- VT getting Buzz Williams is one of the biggest coaching coups I've ever seen. I still don't get it. Guy may be one of the Top 10-15 coaches in the land.

They just read the police report on the radio. Apparently him and two others forced a woman into oral and vaginal sex against her will which resulted in hospital stay for her. Hours later the same trio once again committed similar acts against a different woman.

All three are being held on $100,000 full cash bond.

Is he going to end up being the Dough McDermott to Wiggins' Harrison Barnes?

Off the top of my head, these are all of the players who have been kicked off the team or transferred from UL under Pitino:
Chris Jones
Chane Behanan
Kevin Ware
Jared Swopshire
Angel Nunez
Derrick Caracter
Bryan Harvey
Keith Millard
Lorenzo Wade
George Goode
Bryant Northern
Brian Johnson
Diakite from his early years
And I know I'm missing some.

This doesn't include Van Treese and Farley, both of whom Pitino tried to run off. I also know for a fact that Jerry Smith pulled a gun on TWill while they were there. It also doesn't include the number of chances Behanan and Caracter, both elite recruits, were given while at UL.

What a monster, hope he is locked up in Eddyville the rest of his life. Hate to speculate, but the chances the other 2 accomplices were also UL students and athletes has to be fairly high, right?

Mags52's boy Turkeyhunter can go DIAF. Way to make a horrible joke about a woman being brutalized.

Oh yeah, forgot about him. I just found a few more:
Jonathan Huffman
Nate Daniels

I'm not going to count Hurt and Bender bc I think they were technically Crum's recruits but they did leave under Pitino. His biggest travesty at UL by far though is not getting either Rondo or Russel. Both were from the city. Both grew up UL fans. Pitino should immediately befriend Doug Bibby just in case another stud PG comes along.

Sodomy is specifically defined under Kentucky law as "deviant sexual intercourse":

"Deviate sexual intercourse" means any act of sexual gratification involving the
sex organs of one person and the mouth or anus of another; or penetration of
the anus of one person by a foreign object manipulated by another person.
"Deviate sexual intercourse" does not include penetration of the anus by a
foreign object in the course of the performance of generally recognized
health-care practices;"

- You just can't avoid the NFL these days. February? September? Doesn't matter. Talk about overexposure.

Somebody had it on twitter a couple days ago, Pitino has recruited 6 juco's during his time at UL, and only 1 of them actually fully used their eligibility and made it to senior day.

The real smoking gun over at UofL is the lawsuit just filed by the former HR Director at UofL. Shewee, dude is lobbing some charges at Boss Ramsey and the rest of that mob-style University.

Should be fun.

Re: GYER27-0

Pitino's name is MUD in recruiting circles when it comes to elite players because kids don't trust him. The job he did on Buckles I mean RAK is one of his all time best. Runs that kid into the ground suffering through multiple injuries then ships him back home.

I'ma have to miss it because I'm in a wedding all weekend, but Bunbury coming strong this year:

Black Keys
Snoop Dogg
Avett Brothers
Kacey Musgraves
Old Crow Medicine Show
The Decemberists
21 Pilots
Walk The Moon
Manchester Orchestra
Etc.

Helluva lineup, especially after last year's disappointment.

I'm sure publicly calling out Shaqquan- his best recruit in two years- a week ago helped rehabilitate his image, though.

Re: GYER27-0

I've got a questions for the doctors of gyero:

My wife's grandmother, who is about 76, fell yesterday around noonish and broke her hip. She is at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, and they've told her they are going to have to do surgery, but aren't sure whether they'll have to do a hip replacement or repair the fracture. They told her this yesterday evening. At this point, the doctor still hasn't come in and looked at the x-rays to decide what they are going to do, and they said they are full so they aren't sure yet when they'll be able to actually do the surgery. My question is, how long can one go in this situation just laying in bed with a break bad enough that it's difficult to physically keep her leg from pointing off the bed before it becomes a problem for her health? I don't know ****, but I would assume that they'd need to actually do the surgery relatively soon.

Any thoughts?

When an ambulance picks you up do they just drop you off at the nearest hospital? You're paying for the ride. One would think you could ask to go to a hospital that actually has doctors that will check X-rays, do surgery if needed, etc. I am sorry to hear that and hope she gets well soon.

Whatever boat responds......do the opposite.

Pitino Looking at JUCO Guard.

Maybe it's my lack of understanding of the legal system, but how does a college student afford the best criminal defense attorney in the Commonwealth? Scott Cox is the best of the best. Does the attorney take on the case for the exposure or are U of L boosters involved.

Well, she lives close to Madisonville, so the ambulance took her there first. But they were apparently full so they transferred her to St. Mary's. My wife called Vanderbilt about a transfer, but they said they are full as well. We've since talked to her, and she couldn't tolerate a transfer at this point anyway because of the pain.

Must be a lot of people out there slipping on the ice and breaking bones for the local hospitals to be so full.

Rob Eggert on the team as well, apparently another 'Top 5' attorney, per Twitter Website.

Those attorneys represent a bunch of people in far worse financial situations than Chris Jones.
