Re: GYER31-0

The push present caller is my buddy.

His wife's been sick from the pregnancy on a few game-days and I've been his last minute fill-in. ('Bama & Arkansas)

I'll be chipping in.

Re: GYER31-0

Told Anth I'm steering clear of Sloot..kinda nervous, actually.

Imagine she'll be on the warpath sooner than later, which I *completely* get, btw.

Can't imagine many worse situations than packed in on Broadway from 9am til midnight every day with 20K drunk people when you are completely sober...nevermind having to haul around an extry Schembari.

Re: GYER31-0

Booking a pseudo last minute trip for wife and me.

Right now PDC vs Aruba vs St Thomas.

Any specific opinions on hotels/resorts in St. Thomas or Aruba from anyone?

PDC is our fall back if we don't find anything else. Booking tonight.

FF Indy straight into this trip. (Hopefully) going to be an incredible week.

NC State is an interesting team. Quick, talented PG; two deadeye SGs and a couple big strong bigs. Of course, Gottfried which is the reason they're a bubble team instead of Top 25.

Re: GYER31-0

In regards to last GYERO about the Harrisons staying 4 years.

I actually was looking up Aaron's points. He's at 897 right now, averaging 11.22 per game.

If he averages that and they play the 9 possible games remaining, he'll end up at 998 after 2 years.

He would have a good chance at passing Issel at 2,138, and would be at worst 4th.

Re: GYER31-0

-I feel like the Harrison's are gone regardless this year. If they're not going after we win 9 and they want to play pro, what else do they have to prove at UK? Go 2nd rd, play D-League without all the restrictions and either make the leap OR go play in China for 10 years.

When you think about it, that's really the smart play. Why stay at UK unpaid with limited practice if you're a finished product and pro basketball is your goal... might as well just go. Finishing a degree can be done at any age.

I hope they come back, I just don't see it.

-I'd be shocked by Brown coming here. He just seems like the 30+ shots per game guy. Think he's even said that.

-Post season tourneys are so tough to bet on.

-Weekends is going to be something else. Those of you one the fence, trust me, get together and come down. You'll find a place to crash and you will regret not spending at least a little time with the mist during this run. This will never happen again if it goes the distance. Never. I mean PTI is going to be there, if you can't make it.. you suck.

-Picked up the new bike today. Damn, I CANNOT WAIT for bike season.

-Gonna eye-wax Kaylee this weekend.

-I love Frank Martin.

**whew the scotch got to that post.

Re: GYER31-0

Big win for KC last night in Sec. KC step up and help team score 21 PPG. Ma$e kid just return from dad died and KC take over Ma$e role. KC want 2 honor Ma$e so put team on back. 21 ppg, 7 rpg, and 3 steals. KC hit 9-10 fts and miss 1 FT cuz shoot ft left hand like old skool Bo Kimbel for Big Hank. KC almost hit ft but show him team player to honor Ma$e.
KC ready for next game vs. Texas. KC from Texas so know most kids on team. KC step up again and team make big run.

Stolt a Xanax last night to try and avoid the inevitable ---> didn't work. Up at 4:30am wide awake, and waiting in the gym parking lot at 5:30 for the doors to open.

At work by 7:45, besting my all time record by 30 minutes.

Now I get to watch the clock...odds are good I'll be bouncing closer to lunch than the previous 3pm plan.

If we're going to use the phrase let's stick with en route, Anth. Thanks.

Nice cup of freshly ground Tarrazu, morning dip in the bubbly. Looking at an 11am departure. Giggitty

Stop in bowling green for BBQ or just wait till Nashville for hot chicken?

And so it begins.

Yeah, that's pretty horrible. Sounds like something Richie would do.

Be good for the state/local BG economy tho, I suppose.

Re: GYER31-0

Controversial take: I don't really hate Christian Laettner. I wasn't a huge fan at the time, but I always admired his latent toughness. Also, he doesn't seem to take himself too seriously, and is a good sport about the vitriol that Donnie Ray Wildcat has thrown his way for the last quarter century. Lastly, I have a soft spot for white dudes that dish it out as good they get it, and he certainly did that.

I've never really hates players, teams or coaches just for beating us or being good. I don't hate Coach K. I don't hate Laettner. Plus, as far as I'm concerned, we got those bastards back in '98 anyway.

Laettner is one of, if not THE best college player I've ever watched.

Re: GYER31-0

Noel and Davis could be teamed up in New Orleans right now- the best defensive 4/5 combo maybe ever. Instead New Orleans dealt him for a decent player at the deepest position in the NBA.

Re: GYER31-0

Never hated Coach K. The man gets on the UK broadcast right before Cawood signs off for the final time and totally praises UK
& our players right after Laetner hits that shot. Total class move.

He's adopted with the times. Lets his players play which is against the grain of what these micromanager it's all about me coaches do now.

I hate Christian Laettner the basketball player. Always will. He ripped my heart out, and was a ********** while doing it.

I don't hate Laettner the person. At least not at this point. I think he used to be a prick (maybe he still is in private), but the last several years he's seemed to be self deprecating and, like you said, has been a good sport about all the **** given to him by UK fans.
