Re: GYER31-0

Can someone explain to me why Carolina is a 5 seed? Other than they are Carolina.

They are:
1-7 v. RPI top 255-9 v. RPI top 509-10 v. RPI top 100
That's awful.

Re: GYER31-0

It's curious. Probably b/c after the 2seed line, most of America is pretty garbage/equal all the way to about 50.

That said, they crack my top 10 of teams I'd rather not see, and not completely just b/c it's a hated rival, either.

What you posted obviously says otherwise, but they are a 3-4 seed in *my* eyes, in the terms of how I view their potential/scaryness in a one game situation.

-Meeks out today?

Helluva Thursday matchup with UNC/UofL. Still think the Heels roll by 6-8.

Look at the other 5s, tho- Arkansas, Wichita State, West Virginia. Betting you see similar, if not worse resumes.

Curious just how cheesy Cheddar Bob is going to be this weekend.

Speaking of which- when is that 3rd Eye Blind show?

At least his chick will be there to keep him somewhat in line. Her great looks/coolness aside, she's a pretty good equalizer when it comes to him -- he's much less Popey when she's around.

Otherwise, I'd be cancelling.

Doctor Xman's new gal is the only one he's ever dated in his adult life that doesn't look at him like he's some sort of money-making cash cow superhero. I'm a huge fan.

Re: GYER31-0

I did look Chad, and they aren't the same or worse, they're quite a bit better.

For comparison:

SMU, a 6 seed, is 11-6 v. Top 100 and 4-4 v. top 50.

St. John's, a 7 seed, is 9-8 v. Top 100 and 5-7 v. top 50.

Providence, a 6 seed, is 11-7 v. Top 100 and 5-7 v. Top 50.

Michigan State, a 7 seed, also has 10 losses, and is 8-8 v. Top 100 and 2-6 v. top 50.

Except when he's losing to Cal ... or Butler ... or Morehead.

Also UNC doesn't shoot nearly well enough for me to consider them a viable threat to UK.

I don't really disagree, but (and I'm not saying you're saying this) I don't think the Committee should hand them a higher seed than they deserve because they should be better. They sure as hell don't do that for us.

Played their best game* of the year against us...and were down by 15 at half.

(*) For keeping it real sake, their performance at Cameron was probably better, but besides that game, my point stands.

2 national championships, 7 final fours, 11-1 in Sweet 16 matchups, and I think he's won 12 conference tourney championships.

But he actually sucks in March!

Yes, drx, because I don't hate a great college basketball player that means I love putting penises in my mouth. Your insight is uncanny.

Again, I wasn't a fan of his, but couldn't put him in the same category as Hurley, Wojo, Collins Battier and Redick.

No.

This was K and his move. He does that **** all the time. Nothing screams "HEY LOOK AT ME I'M ALL CLASS" more than that.

Just saw an article on the facebook about some 'Neighbors with Benefits' show that's gonna be on A&E that's being filmed & focuses on 'the lifestyle' here in the tri-state area.

I'd say that's a safe bet to enter my rotation.

Do not want to see UNC in the sweet 16 AT ALL. We all have varying views but that's at the top of my list of what I don't want to see in our bracket. The stress of that game would kill me.

They certainly would get all kinds amped up for the BEAST Tourney and play borderline lights out.

Interesting to see how they fair in UNC & Duke's backyard.

THEY DONT SELL BEER AT THE ACC TOURNEY?! WTF?

Lou fans are funny. Just yesterday

"If we beat UNC, Virginia and Duke we can play our way into a solid three possibly a two with help"

Today...

"It will be a tough road today, basically a road game really with UNC. Win or lose doesn't really matter we just need to look good"

This. I also hated the way televison showed his mother 345 times per game. And it's not like she was a HOPA like Steph Curry's mom either.

River City radio this morning was emphasizing how this was a road game for da Ville today, with the lack of beer sales in Greensboro

but cheer up! beer and all manner of alcohol will be back in the conference tourney rotation with the ACC soon! DC, then Brooklyn.

I kid you not they had a guy from Charlotte Tuesday morning specifically to talk about which bars and liquor stores to hit since nothing is sold at the arena.

Told Card fans, "Liquor stores close at 9pm here so it is important to take note"

I've heard that Dayton, OH is ground zero for people who are "into it."

But, I always shrugged it off as one of those "local tidbits" that apply to a lot of places,

(i.e., "When they ask what school you went to in Average City. They're asking about your high school. Only in Average City, LOL!")

Dayton, OH is garbage, as are the people from there- your typical Ohio bro- flat bill, long cargo shorts, some terrible tee/polo and Air Max, bad tats, loves house music, etc.

Speaking of "The Lifestyle":
Kate Middleton's pal hosts the swankiest sex party in NYC

A new members-only sex party offers an elite form of pleasure - Champagne, oysters and anonymous romps in a high society setting. Emma Sayle is bringing her members-only sex club, Killing Kittens, to a Flatiron loft on Saturday night. It's the first time the London-based party is being held in NYC.Photo: Dan Burn-Forti/Exposure NY

On conversations with former Louisville assistant, current Bears assistant Clint Hurtt, who attended pro day:
I've known Clint for a long time. We worked together at Miami. Clint was a GA when I was the secondary coach at Miami, so I've known Clint for a long time. A good coach and a good guy. I'm glad he's not at Louisville. (laughing) Clint's a good guy, good coach.

Re: GYER31-0

-It was weird seeing that Stoops comment about Hurtt, but what was he supposed to say? The guy is in attendance there in the building, and will have at least some say on when/if some of your kids get drafted. No choice but to take the high road in that situation.

-Jon Rothstein is annoying, but he was correct about Texas. A very 2014 Tennesse-esque vibe about them....just shaky enough to be a bubble team, but definitely good enough to win the play-in game AND beat a 6 in the next round.

Watched them last night, and they were about as uneven a team as you'll see for the first 30 minutes of that game. Two-minute stretches of greatness, followed by stretches where they sucked so bad they might as well have been featuring Pitbull. And Myles Turner is not at all the type of player I envisioned he'd be. He's good, and will get drafted pretty high, etc., but I expected a smooth, jumping-jack, fluid player on the court. The kid can block shots, but his movements are really herky-jerky and awkward to some degree. Still solid, just not what I pictured.

-Leonard Hamilton is 66? Wow, looks nowhere near that old. Gotta wonder if he hangs it up in a year or two. They've got that Bacon kid coming in who's supposed to be really good. If they can convince XRM to stick around, they might have a ranked team next season.

-Gonna be so weird when the SECT is in St. Louis in a few years. So weird.

I believe an SEC school has to lead the bid, according to their rules. There is no SEC member school in St. Louis.
