- never thought I’d see the day where PTI would be telling “my wife”‘stories. Love it

- my wife’s thing to lose is passwords. Never will see another person so smart but so locked out of her own accounts. It’s like asking a baby to do calculus

- pretty crazy that John Wall and Boogie have been out of the NBA for longer than Haslem

-We’re on the cusp of opening our first Chik-fil-a in my city. Volvos, Bourbon, hunting and Chik Fil A means 80 proof circa 2008 would be in heaven up here.

-Epcot yesterday. Damn good time with the Florida family celebrating La Madre’s(Florida mom/ex’s mom) birthday. Walked a million miles but ate our faces off which is something I very much enjoy.

Ratatouille the movie and the ride are both awesome. Guardians of the Galaxy was the best ride though, that and Soarin’. I could’ve stayed on Soarin’ for an hour just “paragliding” over beautiful nature vistas and them pumping in the smells of pine, spruce, fire, etc depending on what you’re flying over.

America is FAT. Wow. People just riding “rascals” around in their mid 20s because they were #300+ or just lazy, not sure.

Got all walks of life there. Pale goths, loud Spaniards, euros speaking zero English holding up lines, jacked moms and dads wearing CF shirts, people completely tatted, soccer mom/golf dad families, kids running around being mischievous, Americans there just to eat or just to drink. Pretty cool and wild.

The whole “Drink Around The World” thing that’s very popular is ridiculous. You want to say you did this so you pay upwards of $200 to get in and then pay $9.75 - $12 per beer? Ummm okay, solid way to spend your beer money….

Apparently the main theme though is dress like a total *******; a Disney diehard head to toe in Disney gear with mouse ears (most common), a T-shirt at a kids park with cuss words on it, Gucci from heel to head, etc.

The Epcot ball or whatever it’s called is pretty amazing to look at when dark out, really cool light display.

-Flying home for T-Giving, could be my last gmas holidays as the only thing keeping her going is dialysis 3x/week.

Need to figure out how to fly with my dog though, hate leaving him in a kennel for 5 days but everyone that could watch him here either have cats, also gone for the holidays or working.

-Watched the first half of the NMSU game and of course fell asleep for the whole second half so saw none of the domination.

-Booked with my tattoo guy for the whole T-giving weekend to finish this American sleeve off. Not sure how some people get the outline or a part of a sleeve with unfinished areas and just leave it there for years. Drives me crazy.

Emotional support dog?
Yes that would be the plan for sure. Just don’t know how to buy tickets, size, etc. I know you can buy all the BS paperwork off the web and all that.

After paying for a kennel for 5 days it would probably be about the same as flying and I’d rather have him with me anyway.

-Also regarding Disney, if you and your significant other’s favorite repeat go to destination is Disney and you’re 28-30+ and no kids, you’re both psychopaths or looking at children, no?

I mean, that’s just really, really weird.

“Hey it’s August and we both turn 37 this month, time to dress up like Harry Potter characters and go to Disney with Mickey ears on! 😒

I mean you can go without kids for some fun rides and attractions here and there but when that’s your “spot” and you have an annual pass, Disney CC, you’re taking Disney cruises and dressing up, you’ve definitely considered some heinous crimes against humanity.

Adults who go to Disney without children absolutely terrify me.
Take a step to the right and visit Celebration, Florida. Folks so shallow that living in a poorly conceived stage set makes them happy. Norton Commons seems authentic and genuine in comparison.

I drove though looking at some bad Aldo Rossi buildings and almost got physically sick being in such an awful place.

Weirdos.

Looks like I’d have to kennel him and check him as cargo which I feel would be terrifying for a dog. Not sure I can do that and not feel terrible the whole flight.

-Well landlord/friends that live in the main house just offered to watch Buster so no worries over boarding him which is awesome.

-Even better, my house just got rented to where I’m making $250/month over mortgage. Dope.

Last time I have to pay mortgage and rent at $3500/month. Shew.

Anybody else wake up to their wife calling to tell you an active shooter is at your kids’ school?

Apparently someone called in threats to schools in Cincy, Louisville, and Lexington too.

Love this. There were some rumors coming in that Burks might be a bad teammate or difficult to deal with. Thus far, he's seemed to have a great attitude.

Come to think of it, this seems like a great attitude team. Starting with Tre Mitchell, it just seems like a fun, humble team. Hopefully they rub off on their coach.
i took my kid to that Oscar camp this summer. The full team was there and all seemed to get along great. The guy with the biggest personality was Bradshaw.

Congrats on legal weed and abortions, Wildcat Willy
Thank you, was thinking about smoking a joint and getting knocked up during my lunch break.

And congrats to my Bluegrass brethren on Andy still being your Daddy. If that disappoints you, at least you can get some joy out of knowing how much it pisses off UKO.

Now let's figure out how to get anyone other than Joe or Donnie in the White House in 2024.

I feel like Slim Chickens would have been a match made in NIL heaven for Doron Lamb. Not sure how he would have gifted those classic combos, but rest assured. . . DLamb eat, and whatnot.

NYC Rundown Book Post:

- My only regret from this trip is that we didn't track down Keith Morrison to have him narrate our visit. Perfect weather, saw everything we wanted to, stayed in a great spot (Tempo by Hilton in Times Square, btw - brand new, super clean, rooms quiet even with a view of the stage on Broadway), didn't get murdered by hobos or the bald eagle-sized pigeons, etc.

- Made it to the American Natural History Museum, 9/11 Memorial and Museum (for second time), Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Top of the Rock, Empire State Building, the Ghostbusters fire station, USS Intrepid Museum, Madison Square Garden for Knicks-Clippers, bonus strolls in Central Park and Fifth Avenue, and anniversary dinner at a spot in Bryant Park.

- The Intrepid Museum was really cool - I've been to Air and Space/Udvar-Hazy, but walking the deck of an aircraft carrier with fighter jets everywhere, seeing a space shuttle up close, and walking through a cruise missile sub all in one spot in the Harbor was a special kind of cool. Also, were dudes in the 40s and 50s all tiny little manlets (in stature, not bravery)? I'm 5'9" and felt like the 50 Foot Woman walking through there. They have replica helicopters, etc. in the museum you can climb in, and I wasn't sure I would be able to get back out of those because they were not made for tall people. How was David Robinson in the Navy?! It bottles the mind, as they say.

- If you walk through Ellis Island and don't feel awe at the folks who came through, I don't know about you, man. My grandma's dad came through from Sweden in the 20s; I can't imagine the combination of fear and hope he must have felt sailing in and seeing the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan Skyline, and knowing that even if he got through the checks at the island without issue, he still had a cross-country journey to California ahead of him. 'Merica.

- Had no clue we were in the City the same weekend as the Marathon until we got there. I can't fathom how the winner ran 26.2 miles in 2:04:58. We walked 30 miles in three days and my hips felt like they were going to explode, and these psychos were walking the city seeing the sights after running that. PTI, are the runners contractually obligated to walk around the city the day after with their medals on? While I get flexing on everyone for running it, it was weird as hell watching people put their medals back on after going through security everywhere.

- There's incredible architecture all over the city, but nothing inspires awe like One World Trade. Really glad we got to see the Memorial at night, too. It hits in daylight, obviously; but it has extra gravitas at night - a la the Korean War Memorial in DC.

- MSG - what can you say, place is unreal. The Knicks fanbase seems to adore Randle and Quickley, which makes me feel all kinds of happy. They also HATE James Harden. I mean hate like he's Osama Bin Laden and it's still 2001. Hilarious. Julius put on a show for us and (inadvertently) exploded Mason Plumlee's knee, so obviously he bleeds blue and he's a Wildcat for life. And Kawhi Leonard is the most awkward human being I've ever seen in real life.

The flow of the NBA compared to college ball...I just don't know how college ball can be fixed. Marcus Camby was courtside and thinking about the difference between his era and now just breaks my heart.

- I'm a dumbass for having a deposition the afternoon we flew back. Never again.
