I thought about taking the wife and kids to The Biltmore during Christmas for the Candlelight tour since we haven't been in a few years. I just checked on tickets and it would be $600. By the time I pay for hotel, food, gas, etc it would be over $1,000 for a 2 day trip that I would be driving to. I love touring there and especially during Christmas but dang that is expensive.

Does anybody know much about this 4star WR from TexAM? Is he any good? His stats are just mid. Idk, I just assume Tae Tae Crumes leads the receiving corps next year.

CHIP sounds like a total athletic freak. What a great addition.

Love adding another DB from Mississippi too.

For all the messiness of the transfer portal when it *works* it's great. Oscar, Levis, and now Ray Davis.

That kid is such a a freaking stud. He said last year at Vandy he wasn't on anybody's list for anything now he's an f'ing All American. Certainly he'll always be a Wildcat.

Everyone bitches about the portal, but if you have a stable program, it's not too bad. You can get kids off the roster that are knuckleheads or not developing. Replace them with known players. I'd like to see some rules after the first transfer, but other than that, seems to be more good than bad.

CJ Frederick is first team “oh yeah, he did play for UK”
Nope. Plenty more than that in the Cal era; he’s second, maybe even third team.

(Don’t believe me, just go look at rosters during his time; don’t care enough to go look and actually post it myself, but promise you’ll be amazed at how many you forgot.)

Add in a wife thats going psycho and making everything 10x worse than it ever needs to be, and you’d be within “not even close pal”.

- Seriously though apologies again, you know who you are.
“Oh…THAT’s kk and his wife?

Huh…”

Joking aside, genuinely enjoyed finally meeting and talking to you. Congrats again on all your success, you deserve it.

He needs a perma-ban from the NBA. They have allowed this clown to do this kind of stuff for years with Kerr complicit in most of it by defending him, blaming the league and other players instead of poor misunderstood Draymond.

I don't like Draymond, but has he really done anything that's a bannable offense from the NBA? As far as I can tell the worst things he's done are:

1) Punched a teammate in practice (who nobody liked anyway)
2) Kneed Steven Adams in the balls a few times
3) Took a few cheap shots on opponents that caused them to pretend like they're hurt for a few minutes, but didn't end up with even a bruise or a cut.

To me, this is why the NBA should be a little more tolerant of fights every now and then so that somebody could smack the **** out of him for pulling this nonsense without the risk of a 5-game ban (and hundreds of thousands in lost wages).

It’s like some of you don’t remember Rick Mahorn and Bill Laimbeer.

Has he killed someone? Not yet but after multiple instances you just have to move on. As my daughter says stupid choices = bad consequences and he and Ja Morant just keep making stupid choices.

-He's just a *****. F*ck that loser.

-Some even crazier views of that pass to Luka.

-Made air fryer fries from frozen, not too bad, and paired with the In-N-Out sauce, which was dope. Along with smash burgers for some new parental friends. I go:

Bun
American cheese
bacon
patty
American cheese
caramelized onions
patty
bun

Heaven. I just love the sweetness the onions give to the burger. No sauce needed.

-Prisoner of Azkaban is shaping up to be my favorite so far. First 2 books were pretty meh, imo.

-1 week from the shortest day of the year. Head down and focused.

-Our most efficient lineups all include Burks. I get it, they all also contain Shep over 20+ possessions. But, much like Adou last year, UK fans picked up on the kids nose for ball in just a few games. Really hope he sticks around.

-Time to get our Xmas movie binge on this weekend.

Seems like a helluva kid, too.

(Pay it forward crap is obnoxious, imo, but it shows a good heart to see from an 18 year old kid looking to be selfless with his NLI money.)

Yeah, Draymond is a *****, but he'd just be "another guy" in that regard during the "old school NBA" so many people, and basically all of the current-haters, seem to always long for.
False. Draymond's playbook is take a cheap shot and let coaches/players intervene before he gets punked.

If he pulled that **** in "old school NBA," he'd get absolutely smoked.

Just a phony tough guy.

I think that NBA mid-season tournament was nearly over before I really knew what was going on. Not an NBA guy by any means- and its a bit of a weird idea, but I guess whatever you can do to promote your league even the slightest bit. I mean the NBA season last forever- even die-hards probably lose track of a good chunk of the season.

Had a final interview for a faculty position yesterday... my 3rd full day of it over the last couple of months. Thought it was going pretty well until someone on the committee asked a question related to the freedom of speech issue and protests on campus. I try to refer to what the legal realities are with those scenarios- which is where I should've stopped... but I kept going on talking about how the major failures have actually been how these elite schools have responded to incidents over the last decade and how disciplining students for ridiculous stuff like culturally inappropriate Halloween costumes and turning every conservative speaker into a villain that causes mass microaggressions among students- put them on a path so off-track that maybe it would take cleaning house to get their house back in order. There were no follow-up questions after that.

Have continued to give away a good bit of whats in the bourbon cabinet. Really only have a handful of allocated bottles left. Still looking for a '22 Birthday Bourbon to lock away for later in life- but for the rest of it- its free game for any house guests or neighbors. No sense in it just collecting dust.

Will be back home in Louisville/Lexington at the end of the month... always one of my favorite weeks of the year. I'll have the ornaments off the tree when my daughter goes to bed Christmas night, and the tree will be on the curb before we pull out of town.

The budget we set for the holidays was exceeded on around December 3rd, yet amazon boxes keep showing up. Its alarming to say the least.

Storms that came through over the weekend were rough. Smaller tornadoes, which we seem to have at least once during early December. We were fortunate on our property but have some neighbors that will need to do some redecorating. Even worse, obviously that it was this time of year.
