They started running some play action and then drifted receivers out in the flats. For some reason we could never stop this. And when we finally tried it opened up their wide outs for 1:1 coverage deep.

But sure, Drinkwitz sucks. He only has Mizzou 6-1. And I see no reason why they can't finish 10-2 this year.
Go Phillies.

-bright side: kook's gnocchi was fan****ingtastic...also his bride is lovely.
Came here to say the same. Had to put myself in GYERO timeout after the game, but now that I’ve processed it…

Yeah, y’all that missed out on kooky’s gnocchi bolognese are the real losers. And, agreed, Mrs. kook is awesome. Solid work all around, buddy. 👊🏻😎

Got to finally meet Vern in person also. Good people.

Despite the loss and impending doom of a promising season that came crashing down to earth in a two-week time span (hey, sometimes you just get your *** kicked), I’m counting yesterday as a win for the Extrav alone.

A lot of people forget Rich Brooks actually did well at Kentucky.

If mediocre is doing well, then yes.
Never had a winning record in the SEC (8-16 last 3 yrs)
Never won more than 8 games.
Bowl games acquired by beating the cupcakes.

Nice guy, but very avg here, even for UK standards.

I was about to argue this vehemently until I saw it was UKO

Having a lisp doesn’t seem too bad, until you get the girl of your dreams in your bedroom and she says she’ll do whatever you want. Next thing you know, she’s sucking on your clock.

- Levis couldn’t play since he is designated as the emergency QB which has a stipulation that both QBs in front of him has to be injured before he is eligible to play.

It’s well known they’ve gone this route to keep the pressure off him until they have no choice but to see what he can do.

Next week is a bye week for the Titans and after that they have the Falcons. If they look incompetent, again or even worse lose, then the pressure will be on to give Levi’s a shot.

It’s going to happen and the staff seem to have confidence in him.

- I understand what Stoops said 2 weeks ago will give GYERO the ammunition to go in as they do, but I honestly don’t think that’s the way the message was intended.

As a man who often opens my mouth and does not actually get the message across as I intended, I get it.

Still, GYERO, KSR and a large part of the fan base going to go in on ya! Not time for thin skin.

- Should be easy to realize it’s time to shut up and win for both of the major programs at UK. What a time for BBN.

- Made a gumbo and for some reason grabbed chicken broth instead of beef broth, and then doubled that up with a F it can’t matter that much attitude.

It’s completely different and greenish. I’ve seen it made that color but I’ve never done it so it’s kind of like green ketchup for me.

- Commanders hit. Thankfully I took that win and last minute bet the Lions too. Big weekend avoiding any losses and getting 2 BIG wins.

- I’d like to post pictures but I can’t. Got the blueprints of the stillhouse with equipment laid out for plumbers and electrician.

I’m stressed TF out trying to get this thing started and running with the busy lumber season upon us to get any projects under roof for the winter.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going!

* That Suzanne Somers is one piece of ace......I know from experience, dude.

Well, not me personally, but I guy I know.

* There's just no getting around it -- Mark Stoops hates offense. Always has. It's no surprise that the best OC relationship he's had since he's been here has been with Eddie Gran. Liam Coen, Shannon Dawson, Neal Brown......these guys could be offensive geniuses but we wouldn't know from their time at UK.

* The term "wifey" = nails on a chalkboard.

* 5th annual New Orleans Ultramarathon & Half this weekend.

- record number of participants (we cap it at 150)
- new course record for men's half = 1:09:59
- actually turned a very tidy profit
- lass was way more involved, which meant it was considerably more organized
- had runners from Chile, Australia, Italy, and France

50 miles, 50k, 13.1 half.

* There's a stat for everything, and Devin Leary leads the SEC in "drop yards." Doesn't help at all.

* Doctor said I need a backiotomy....

* I broke my "Sober October" vow at the race Saturday when our British friend showed up to volunteer with a bottle of top shelf tequila. A half dozen shots later....

....also, the first ice cold beer after 3 weeks off is liquid f'ing gold. It's just amazing. Savored every sip.

* I'm really embarrassed at how late I am on Zach Bryan. He's fantastic, and his Red Rocks set is an all-timer.

* Finishing up "Where is Joe Merchant," just for old time's sake.

* In honor of 73's son committing to an Ivy League school -- if you were a top notch student who had D1 ability (but NOT getting recruited by the big schools), what would be your top choices?

1> Stanford
2> Princeton
3> Yale
4> Army
5> Penn

* How do you become a Bounty Hunter? Dog make that look so freaking cool back in the day. Would be a nice little side gig.

-clam chowder(chowdah) yesterday... simple and delicious. Soup is good food.

^a request from Viv for her 22 bday. Time flies gang.

-not mad, just *meh* about the football stuff... that's a bad sign for ol' stoopsy.

^I've sat through/cheered for a lot of bad football teams... this group (sans Davis and a few defensive guys) doesn't seem to care... why should we?

I think (hope) we're seeing growing pains with the football program. Stoops is having trouble transitioning from big ugly smash mouth to something more modern. He's holding onto the idea of ball control and it's making things easier for the opposing defense. He's holding onto the nasty physicality thing without a roster built for it, and it's resulting in penalties. He needs to go all in if we're going to take a step. Mix in some spacing, tempo, and stop trying to out-tough everyone with a roster heavy on speed, agility and playmaking ability. Maybe we can take a step. - OR - go back to recruiting big, tough, physical and preaching the same, and we can do 7-5 to 10-3 every year. But whatever we're doing now isn't moving the program forward, at all.

Coen can scheme them open no matter what, but I think the general identity of the program is in limbo and Stoops and players are having trouble adjusting/executing.

The defense is maybe okay. Missouri had short fields the entire game due to picks and shitpunting.

He really also needs to figure out how to handle a loss, how to handle the bye week, how to handle the last 4 minutes before halftime, and how to motivate without the underdog crutch. Make an adjustment, Mark.

Kiffin and/or Heupel would have a field day with this roster.

Ray Davis is one bad mofo.

He has been a stud at Vandy and UK. That’s insane behind those lines.

When Schlarman passed away and Coach Sumrall left it just hasn’t been the same. We aren’t tough. We act like it. But we aren’t.

-I'd take it a step further... with some noticeable exceptions this team is *charmin soft*. When **** gets hard they *wilt*... strong/fast means nothing if you are not mentally tough.

-talk/flex/late hits does not = toughness. Stop running your mouths and show me something. Make plays... don't prance around like a little punk after doing your job. Go to work, or don't...just stop talking.
