Flew out of Nashville to Boston on our recent Fall Break trip. Flew up on Delta and flew back on Southwest because we wanted (needed?) nonstop flights. I don't fly much, but based on the stereotypes, it was like the airlines were reversed.

The Delta flight was slightly delayed, cramped, and provided middling service. Southwest was punctual, bigger jet, comfier/roomier, and a generally pleasant staff. Maybe it was a fluke? I don't fly enough to know.

BKH is a victim of the "taking his job too seriously"/"Cal broke him" hybrid. I reached out to him about 2 years ago.

Anyone trying to analyze this game tonight is trying too hard. This is nothing more than a fun preseason jamboree type of deal. Just look competent and who knows, maybe our team will win?

-Never understood being worried about someone with a straight razor shaving my neck. He’s a professional with a certificate, a steady job, and very likely not a spontaneous murderer. They all hold really sharp scissors they could stab you with the entire time too.

You’re be more likely to get shived walking down the street by a ne’er do well than a barber. I get them every time they’re offered.

-The rare times I go through drive thrus it’s usually for ice cream and I usually get Buster something. Otherwise he only gets a little protein from the skillet every so often.

Speaking of McDonald’s, I love their hash browns and my dog won’t touch it. Makes me really wonder when a dog won’t eat it…

McDonald’s could do a spin-off “beverages only” restaurant and be successful, imo. Their drinks are much better than their food. I’m sure there’s business reasons against it, but from a practicality standpoint I would be a customer just to avoid the 30m line at the drive thru.

I used to think Starbuck’s should put in a coffee only line as I hate wasting time waiting for the @HymanKaplan’s of the world order their skinny pumpkin spiced mocha frappe lattes, but then I realized they’ll never do this as it would eat into their high margin drink sales.

if you're waiting in line or in the drive thru instead of putting in an order ahead at Starbucks, that's your own fault tbh.

Been buying premium aged blended Scotch. Honestly, there are so many single malts out there now, and they are WAY overpriced (not all, but a LOT)

Blended 12 year olds blow most of them out of water.

Buchanan's Deluxe 12 YO for example. Even Chivas (they modified the blend a few years ago and it is exceptional), or Old Parr 12 yo, all better than middle of the road/bottom tier single malts.

Others:

Monkey Shoulder
Pinch 15 year old
Compass Box, at 49.99 beats the brakes off of ANY single malt that comes in under 75 dollars.

Those blends (and more), use exceptional aged grain whiskey (most blends w/o an age statement use really young grain, and that is what gives blended Scotch a bad name)

The hallowed JW Blue, is a blended Scotch, so...

I was working on the Mexican border years ago and was able to find the JW Blue for $105 at a duty free store, so I bought it for my Scotch-loving dad for his 60th birthday. He opened it up and said, "huh, blended whiskey... uh, thanks, I guess". He's still got most of it in his liquor cabinet.

It was only 2 weeks ago i mentioned Harbaugh might end up leaving Michigan and the opening scares me for Stoops.

Maybe I’m stupid, but it’s looking more and more likely Harbaugh gets TF out of NCAA reach and goes back to the NFL.

Michigan gave up a TD to Purdue on a 4th down play with 18 seconds left week before last.

Michigan won 41-13

Spread was 31.5

Stoops is never voluntarily leaving here. Why would he? He can go 7-5 every year, get bourbon drunk with impunity, get paid 9 large, and have total job security for as many years as he wants. Nowhere else is going to offer that. He has ruined my autumn.

Go Cats. Beat Kansas.

And get the only two 10-win seasons in my lifetime. Don’t forget that.

You ungrateful MFers.

Do none of you people have interactions with UM alums? I have a very hard time believing Stoops would ever be a target for them. They are insufferably arrogant in general, and have a grossly overstated view of where their program resides in the pecking order of college football. They also see Kentucky as a point-and-laugh example of red state/southern "idiocy". F them and the horse they rode in on.

Kinda surprised Reece Davis hasn’t broken into the game to show a token highlight of some broad making a layup in an unattended wcbb game.
