No problem with that one. Classic SEC road game - opponent playing out of their mind, refs letting them get away with murder, a player going absolutely nuclear down the stretch, etc. But we battled hard. Just ran out of gas in OT, where we were still getting mostly clean looks. Just missed them.

We got a squad. Coaching quibbles aside (mostly fine today, but trying to steal minutes with Burks ended up hurting us), I'd take this team over any other, I think.

Gotta somehow get better at defending on the ball, though.

We don’t play them twice, thought we did.
Oh well, bounce back with a couple home dubs this week.

Really missing Thiero and what he brings for us. Hopefully back soon. 🙏

Wagner was fantastic. The drop was weird & flukey, and obviously detrimental.

Tre, our easy MVP, lost that one along with our soft *** defense.

Dude looked like drunk sheray Thomas. Endless boneheaded plays from arguably the smartest player on our team. Weird game, but I guess he was due.

Nothing embarrassing at all about losing in OT as a road dog if you follow college basketball. We battled, but didn’t have it - and their 2 best players had 5* games.

I’m pissed for the night, then I’m over it. Trust it won’t be the last one of these. Will be At least a few more - for us, and every other P5 team outside of maybe the ACC .

F**k I really wanted to crack the top 3 🤬

*Not gonna get mad at DJ for the turnover, but I am gonna get mad that DJ didn't already have the ball as primary ball-handler on that possession. Ridiculous.

*Outdid our normal selves defensively by allowing two guys to have career games.

*Rebounding. 🤢

*Had a bad feeling about this one anyway. Always their Super Bowl and desperate for a win.

Not confident at all going forward. Contenders win games like this. This team reminds me a lot of 2016 Kentucky. Great guard play, soft inside, suspect defense. Feels like the ceiling is low. Just my opinion, but I feel like we were exposed today. Especially with the performance late and in OT.
You must've been on suicide watch after UNC-W. Don't think I've seen someone so rattled after an OT loss against a conference opponent in mid-January.

Good news is this team can score and there is no world beater team this year but if they do not start playing better defense and the bigs start playing like bigs I don’t see this team going as far as we hope. Theiro is proving his value as each game passes by without him in the game. Invaluable to this team’s success in March.

Wish I had bet you instead of Wayne, poosay.

We weren’t even favorite to win it as a #6 vs an unranked.

Loses aren’t the worst thing for good teams!

Up 7 at the under 12 (65-58), then Cal trots out a line-up with Edwards, Mitchell and Ugo. Scored 3 pts in the next 5min and went to the under 8 tied at 68-68.

The fat wop just can't help himself.

Yep - lots of our issues are easily diagnosed when you deep dive a little.

Yeah- in that situation, where calm and clock-eating is needed, we don’t need Dillingham doing his hot sauce routine. It was chaotic. Should have had Shep or DJ with the ball. Would have been cool with Dillingham taking the shot however.

Look - it’s a little tough figuring out who and what when you have four good guards like we do. I’ll give Cal that. He got it wrong, IMO. Others didn’t have an issue with Dillingham with it there. Fair.

Cal cannot be perfect. No coach can be. We got ALOT of moving parts. I thought he was fine tonight. I won’t give him an ounce of blame tonight.

It wasnt anything like the time he put Eloy Vargas and Wiltjer in at the same time and let IU get back in the game.

That's fine man, just saying how I see it.
How you see what?

Was the game winnable, yes, but other than that the only thing you could have drawn from that game in a hostile road environment is that if a team goes wild and shoots and hits crazy shots, and has a home crowd behind them then they could beat us.

Other than that we didn’t play perfect and damn near pulled it out with a heroic effort down the stretch for Dilly. Which isn’t out of the realm we’ll need that again at some point if we do win it all…….and not only that we have 3/4 dudes that can produce in the clutch like that.

I just don’t see how you can see that game and think we’ll damn we don’t have a shot really, so on to next year.

Just a weak mentality and toward this group, and begs the question have you seen the competition that’s Top 10–15?

We’re really good!

I get where Bristol is coming from. I’ve been quite dark on this program for a while. But I’m feeling pretty good right now, to be honest. Pretty damned good.

Hell if Thiero’s ****** had been properly healed as of 1:00 CST today, we walk out of that ******** with a three possession win. This was his game if there ever was one - shame he had to miss.
