I was originally going to go to Vandy and told my high school baseball coach I was planning to walk on. He looked at me funny and said, “you do realize that’s like high A minor league baseball?” Translation: you have no effing chance. I did get recruited by schools like Centre so I can validate that I could have played college ball - it would have just been D3.

The 95 game in the SECT with Big and Little A was peak UK basketball fandom. Uncle Anth always made sure that me and Dad were wingmen, we sat right above them.

The Georgia Dome “Catlanta” game atmosphere was 10/10, something of legend these days. Even the Dr Pepper Fan Experience was dope.

I know this because my mom is on the Scott county school board and they just went through this with a kid telling a security guard he was going to kill him and do all sorts of awful things to him with a bunch of classmates backing the guards story.

- Mash on Rusillo earlier in the week. Nothing groundbreaking but good to hear from him.
- Decided to try out Childers 2023 music again. I just can’t with it. I find his last few years very disappointing.
- New Riff just dropped their 8-year which I’m sure will be good. It’s $67 which comparatively these days isn’t bad until I start to think, “Hmm - 8-year New Riff for $67 or 8-year Buffalo Trace or Elijah Craig for $30?” The bourbon world is off its *** these days.
- My brothers-in-law and niece just touched ground from Colorado. So excited to see them. One of the best parts of getting married is gaining another family. Plus, their daughter is 9 months older than my oldest and they are pumped to see each other. Cousins are one of the cooler relationships you can have, imo (hell I have 23 of them).
-Speaking of youth sports, I grew up selling candy bars for uniforms- so if I have a kid come to my door or selling something outside a store, I’ll buy nearly every time. But what’s up with all these bourbon raffles?

While I understand the premise, OTOH an 8Year Willet is retailing at 299, so it’s really just up to the buyer.
$67 is on the less expensive side and I believe it’s at 112 proof which is different from Buffalo Trace or Elijah Craig.
