-Nothing like beating those douche bags on their own court to remind them of the pecking order. Congrats on your best team ever... and enjoy thinking about getting exposed RIGHT before your first #1 seed. I wouldn't be sleeping very well if my favorite color was creamsicle.

-Knecht is unreal but after that... yikes.

-What has happened to Viscovi? That dude was a killer. Career lows in basically every stat and looks way out of place.

-6/7 from 3 in the 2nd. Nuts. Legendary.

-Speaking of not sleeping, UFC Saturday night, time change, and Drake last night😵 Christ, I'm tired. That is not what we do anymore.

-Time change though 😍😍😍😍 What a dumbass decision to fall back. 8p sunset does so much for the soul.

-When we're running the offense and everything inside the arc is wide open -> 😤 Just wide open spaces everywhere.

-Having non-CBB fans, or casual fans, talk about how fun this team is just really drives it home. Just make a run.

-Trust Robert, Cal. It's time.

-Still thawing out from our baseball game yesterday. Good lord. Frozen. Need to get thicker clothes for the EVERY NIGHT THIS WEEK game/practice.

-The Reed from Donatos is pretty good and this coming from a basics only pizza guy.

Best case scenario is Arizona getting back on the 1 line and us sneaking into the last 2 seed out West. With the regions being Boston, Detroit, Dallas, and LA there's no clear location advantage. Plus, we haven't been to a Sweet 16 in 5 years. We'll travel.

The best part of Drake last night is when he went on a long speech about loving Kentucky, Cal, BBN for launching his career, Cal coming to his graduation, first big show ever. Then into how you have to strive to be better, don't settle, crush life, be a great person.

All while a massive 30 foot wide bra is being lowered to the stage next him. It was surreal.

Rick Pitino on PMT.

“(Reed) has got a big decision to make. He’s probably a top 8 pick in the draft. He’s the closest thing to the Pat Riley days - he’s the closest thing to a Rex Chapman, for Kentucky. Does he stay, does he leave? Because they’re two Kentucky people. I think I have the answer to that question, but I’ll keep it to myself.”

Tee Higgins request a trade. For NFL guy this week is going to be a blast!

Also learn kids. A kid that stays up until 10-11pm because of longer days also sleeps in a little later too, and that’s very appreciated!

Go hire Transy’s coach for 300k and give the rest of the salary gap to someone to come back for year two
I think The Clown nailed it that the woman's basketball coach is cheap Title IX insurance. I don't care who they hire. Just pay them a **** ton and stop reporting the results or otherwise covering it.

Unless they start calling themselves the LadyCats again, I don't care.

May not be a good fit, but since Nike pays the majority of the salary, why not go offer Staley $6mm/year?

As long as no other athletic department $$ is cannibalized, what do we care?

What she’s done at so Carolina of all places is amazing.

Randos :

~ Anth talking about UFC reminded me that this weekend's card and UFC 300 have the potential to be the best back to back cards they've ever had. Hope the fights hold up for 300. Poirier sleeping BSD was not on my bingo card but apparently he was loaded up on antibiotics all week due to staph. DDP still that dude though.

~ Both of my kids slept in this morning after going to bed at the equivalent of 8:30 last night. They'll figure it out and the extra hour of sunlight is definitely worth it.

~ I'm all for ra-ra'ing our other sports outside of Football/Basketball but it better not interfere with those two programs. If Mitchell wants to come back and dance during BBM at about 60% of the salary, I'm all for it.

~ Unless Reed just absolutely does not want to go to the NBA yet, it would be extremely hypocritical of us to want him to come back if he's top 8 (as most boards indicate). We **** on UNC/Duke for pulling this kind of **** all the time and it usually costs the kid.

~ Now, if the guy just loves it here and wants to be the guy at this level, more power to him.

~ Red Fang/Baroness in May, Bonnaroo in June and about 10 more concerts I'm wanting to go to throughout the summer. Going to be a blast. Speaking of, my son is starting to enjoy music similar to what I like (which is a relief because all of his buddies listen to anime music) so I think it's finally time to get him to his first show. He has requested Clown Core whenever they tour again. I've never been prouder.

I don't remember the last uk team to make SEC title game. We know they don't consider the results of the championship game on Sunday but just win the first two and get there for our sake and could make seeding very interesting.

They have no problem moving an unworthy Duke up and us down. So give them that problem. I have a feeling a lot could happen in every major conf. tourney except the big10. Who besides Purdue has done anything?

I posted in here last week they are itching to put UNC or Duke up to a 1. I think the powers have decided we aren't making a 2 but it don't matter 2 or 3 I think we make a run to the elite 8 from either position.

Uconn is the only team that could match our best. We could run Edy baseline to baseline like it's conditioning drills.

Let the madness begin

Reed wants to win a title. That’s the dream. It isn’t the normal lip service from an out of state burger boy. It’s pretty shallow to always think money is the only motivation.

Jesus, I have heard it all. Reeves is the 3 and now we’re selfish for hoping Reed’s goals lineup with ours for once.

Fun fact- he’s rich either way.

I think any of us would want to win a title before we left. Reed is one of us in that sense he just has about 30" of extra lift off the floor and shoots over 50% from behind the three point line. Everything else is just like us

I’m not being hypocritical when I say “it may be in Reed Sheppard’s best interest for him to leave UK to go to the NBA but it’s in my best interest for him to stay at UK so I can watch him play for UK”. That’s just me being #real.
I’m tired of other people’s best interests tbh. 2024 is all about ME.

My hunch is that Reed is having the time of his f'n life playing basketball for the University of Kentucky Wildcats. His parents get to watch him play basically every game. He's adored by a fan base he has been a part of his entire life. NIL opportunities galore.

Maybe he doesn't feel ready to be a pro despite the draft projections. There is nothing crazy about that.

My sources say (LOL, I don't have "sources") that Mitchell really wants the job back. He's rested and ready to get back into it. (Seriously).
If UK has any interest in making a FF and/or winning a title in women’s basketball they aren’t hiring Mitchell again. The first question for the next hire is can they sign elite big gals because until KY starts getting them beating the likes of SC and other elite programs is minimal.

Money is the only motivation in this era, in state or out of state, and the dream has 3 letters....NBA. and if the projections hold true in a top 8-15 sense, then his fun fact check is getting signed by Adam Silver, and not Joe Craft.

...and in 20 years he can sell he can sell health care products during the half time show of an unsanctioned alumni pick up game. The dream.
