If you're a UK football fan, you can't go wrong cheering for Liverpool. They lost a league title a couple of years ago because their team captain fell down at the wrong time. It was then I knew I had picked the right team.

Also, I'm happy when they win and can blow it off pretty easily when they lose b/c my "fanhood" isn't nearly the same as it is with UK. It's probably the healthiest fan experience I have.

We're talking about a guy already paying $500 for a GD cooler so it's not like he's smart with his money anyway. Sounds like a pretentious douchebag.

Supply and Demand. People want them and Yeti is sold out. I'm also sold out of $500 coolers. Thank you Jesus for pretentious douche bags who like nice things and want to spend money with us.

* amanda dufner is ridiculously sexy, but i have a feeling that act would wear really thin after a week or two. not exactly the type you bring home to mom. more like the type you bring home to your college roommates and share. (hey-yo!)

* took a mid-day stroll down bourbon street yesterday with the bellydancers and their 10-mon.....errr.......8.675-month old yesterday. bellydancer got all pouty because pat obriens was strictly 21-and-up on one side, but all ages friendly on another. so we got run trying to enter on st peters but then got seated around the corner. meanwhile, every single skrip club we walked by was begging us to come in -- WITH the baby. [laughing]

* dude, this is some seriously funny s***...

European soccer is ideal sport for middle aged men with a family and a real job. Games are on weekend mornings. No BS night games that last until midnight like the American sports. Also, games last 90 minutes with no threat of overtime- no 4 hour games to deal with. So, the rest of you can stay up until 1 am watching the Bears/Lions MNF game. I'll watch Chelsea/Liverpool at 10 am and be done by lunchtime.

The drunk boat accident insurance guy's career is OVA. They just had to post his profile page on his company's website on the news to go along with the story. Almost feel bad for the poor bastard. Gone are the days a white man can get stupid drunk, crash a boat, scream and curse at people like small children, get arrested, and then have to end up worrying about losing his job. These are not the 90s my friends.

Speaking of boats, Props to Dr. Boat on his new boat (yacht). Just plain ridiculous. Proud of you boy.

So, to recap:

A) the boat is still sitting there, after the guy's first court appearance

B) he had been being a big enough jackass that people started taping him

C) he mooned people- specifically a dad with his little kid on his shoulders

D) "Dog Paddlin' "

Read some of the Woj articles that Wodie linked here. What a physco.

Essentially, if you don't provide him with info and become one of his sources he will use that against you and leverage his journalistic ability to shred you through his columns.

If you're one of his enemies that doesn't provide him with first hand info so he can be the first to break a story he will even make up rumors about you, your staff, franchise, etc and write a false report.

Supposedly Cal is one of his targets so it wouldn't surprise me at all if he wrote that report yesterday knowing it's all ********. He's that vindicative.

How in TF was he not charged with DUI "because the officer did not witness the wreck"

Since when does that matter? Certainly doesn't with automobiles...

I don't prefer soccer over football. College football is my favorite sport. Just think it's funny that folks will watch a 4 hour 13-6 NFL game and go bonkers because someone in head to toe padding gets speared but soccer is boring because NOT ENOUGH GOLES, FOR WHY CANT YOU USE YOUR HANDS? GOD INVENTED HANDS FOR A REASON YOU HOMOSEXUAL BUFFALO WILD WINGS COORS LIGHT
Last year the average nfl game produced 45.2 points. The last time the average was as low as your 13-6 example was 1932. Stick to Twitter malopropism and pwning bbdk.

I could definitely see Kyle Tucker going HAM at 10AM on a soccer Saturday, USA scarf and all. Probably wouldn't even bother him if it ran a little bit into his lunch.

Why is the US so good in women's soccer? Pretty simple.

This success didn't come from nowhere. Since almost immediately after the implementation of Title IX (which became law in 1972, with compliance required by 1978) U.S. women's soccer has grown like crazy. Probably the cleanest and easiest venue to see how this has played out is at the high school level; the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) has high school athletics participation data going back to the '70s:

In the late '70s, the number of high school women playing soccer was in the low five figures. By the time America won the World Cup in 1991, there were more than 120,000. By the time it won in 1999, there were more than 250,000. Now it is approaching 20 percent of all high school female athletes — about 375,000 — and has surpassed baseball/softball as the third-most-played team sport.

Soccer has grown both by taking women from other sports and by capturing a disproportionate share of "new" female athletes as more young women began to play sports. Note that the percentage decline for basketball — by far themost mature women's sport in the country — looks steep, but the change in total number of players is fairly small (there were more women playing high school basketball in 2013-14 than in 1976-77.) Soccer, though, has still been adding numbers to its ranks rapidly, despite a bit of a slowdown in its growth shortly after 1999.

Big Amanda Dufner fan, obviously. Man...

Started sending out resumes to a few companies outside of my current field, basically with a letter saying "We are relocating and I am just passing my resume along to the HR Office, etc..." My last couple of jobs at new places i've been recruited there so I'm new to this game... Got a response back which appears to be automated, 'We appreciate your interest in working with (Insert company). We receive a large amount of resumes each week, and receipt of a resume does not always result in a review of a resume. We will notify any potential candidates of relevant openings, therefore there is no reason for further outreach from you." So i'm just gonna chalk that up to a "maybe"

Got two other offers on our house, meanwhile the buyers agent we are working with already has missed deadlines on providing financial approval and wants to wait a couple weeks on pest inspection because "she isnt available to be there"... My wife, who relishes this role all of the sudden explained that we have scheduled the inspection on our own and "you can show up- or not." Also mentioning to the agent that "we would like to see the requests from the buyer after the inspection, but we likely will not be making any additional changes to the property." Its whatever, but shes definitely got this crazy look in her eye that i havent seen before.

This NY jail escapee's story is amazing. Anecdotes about being a few feet away from being caught earlier on, the one guy basically getting caught (and killed) because he decided to get sh*tfaced and stumbled into the line of fire... all pretty unreal. And then we still have that attractive looking jailhouse worker who was sleeping with a bunch of inmates- im curious as to how shes treated in lockup. Has to be kind of like royalty, no? She used her position of authority to sex up inmates and help them escape. Has to have some weight with the current detainees.

Kevin Love getting $35 million less than Anthony Davis... A NOLA trip in between UK sports seasons to catch a Pelican (awful mascot) game wouldnt be a bad idea at all. Commit two hours to basketball, and the rest to the city. Probably stay with the PTI's... could be dope.

Anybody that travels internationally do the Global Entry deal? Thinking about since its only $100, and we'll be doing 4 countries later this year. Customs is the worst experience of my life and a hundo seems well worth it.

My wife's Yeti monogram arrived yesterday. Highly recommend so you all dont get your Yeti's all mixed up.

Plans for the 4th: Nothing. Pretty excited about that too. Fireworks are stupid, the weather is going to be crap and i want to take naps.

Driving to work this morning some chick had a Yeti sticker on her back window. Does this mean it has reached Apple status in the cult following department?

* did a little magazine street (its our baxter/bardstown, if you will) the other day, and the local yuppy tie-and-button-down-with-cute-logo store had one of these:

...filled with complimentary brews while you shop. that's a nice touch, and thats a great beer tub.

* the nba is on a totally different level. structured, short term contracts. smaller teams.

a nice parallel, bbdk, would be lebron james signing a 12-year contract with a player option for the 13th. that kind of thing happens in baseball, and essentially never works out as planned.

* the interesting thing about these nba deals --> the salary cap is expected to skyrocket, so paying a 3&d or a rebounding specialist $10-15 million/year is actually a bargain. not bad for a bunch of uneducated college dropouts.

id NEVER let my child take up such an occupation.

Went to Napa River Grill(e) in Westport Village yesterday for our anniversary. Highlights and lowlights:
Highlights:
-watching Coyote Calhoun stumble in like a zombie and hang out with random people at the bar area.
-the cornbread.

Lowlights:
-ordered a Delmonico ribeye medium. It comes back well done. I ate it anyway because the spaz waiter didn't ask and I just didn't care that bad.
-thought I had convinced my wife to order the waygu brisket so that I could have leftovers. She proceeds to order a salad and a side of mac and cheese.

Pass. Decent bar/patio area but I doubt I go back.

Yup, and it gets you TSA pre-check too. George will have one before our fall vacation. That is correct, an infant has to have one to enjoy passing the lines at customs if his parents have one. Ours isn't good enough for him. Lol.

Moments after Wojnarowski tweeted the news of the date James will die, NBA “insiders” at other media outlets also began reporting that — “according to reports” — James would pass away in 2062.

I'm not too active on the twitter machine, but this has to be false, right? Have the "insiders" never been on facebook before to see those stupid "when will you die" games?
