Previous to our current Gluten Free cornucopia, did the afflicted just have terrible gastrointestinal problems with no recourse? Or is the food overall different now and that's led to the intolerance?

I feel like Adam will have a paleo answer for me.

I've heard that once you recognize a slight intolerance and back off the gluten, it gets worse and worse when you have it again. I'm trying to keep my reps up to avoid this.

Gluten Free Miracles sounds like the worst lesbian porno of all time. Or a really, really bad vegan Motown cover band in Brooklyn...

...Or just something really, really, really bad.

But seriously, if LSU had a cornerback named "Gluten Free Miracles" that guy would be horrifying. I mean like Honey Badger but more horrifying.

I think its the way we make foods and the pesticides we put on foods that have disrupted the microbiome in the gut which then causes many health problems. Wasn't as bad in the past as it has become now and the gut cannot handle it, jmo.

Even though I must say no carb/kind of no gluten/ wheat was my most successful fad diet, the gluten free diet for a normal person is ridiculous. The reason it worked, like most fad diets, is because I was eating healthier. I wasn't crushing fast food for lunch, over eating every dinner, drinking less, working out. They're never sustainable.

-Tour ended pretty decent. Alps stages was great. My boy Q finally attacked and made some head way. Froome/Sky basically dominated. Teejay abandoned the race. Watching Tour of Utah this week. Would love to go out there with Dad/MCF and do the amateur stage they host.

-Tom Danielson, one of Lance's outers, got busted this week for Test. Pretty funny because he rides for Jon Vaughters who was one of the main Lance haters and proclaims to have the cleanest team in the world. Lance has been roasting.

-Also going to be interesting to see where this new info on the distant runners and blood doping goes. Sounds like our favorite Kenyans are the big subjects. Blood doping is so cray.

-10 hours of CE tomorrow. Bleh.

I love the gluten free people(this is mostly females...guys generally are easy to work woth here) who chime in with suggestions for the group of where to buy gluten free pizza. Sorry bub, everyone else will be eating the good pizza...you're on your own.

dated a girl that couldn't have gluten and it was the biggest pain in the *** to go anywhere. Pretty sure the whole thing was just a rouse to make things for difficult for me.

I'm a 100% believer in wheat/gluten (sugars) being addictive and making your body feel like ****. The proof is when you're able to go a few weeks without them then slip up, it's amazing how much the body will ache/react from a simple sandwich even. When I'm in my zone, I'm pretty much clear of them save my cheat pizza or other random thing. Just not able to FULLY give any of that stuff up, nor will I ever try again I don't believe. Props to those who can.

I will say, Blaze Gluten Free is pretty damn good. If you gave it to a normal person, they'd just think it was a cracker thin flatbread type deal...it tasted damn fine.

-BBdK needs another psycho run. Or something to switch things up. Been in a rut for several months now, about a good 10lbs off from my 'decent' weight that I was able to maintain for 4-5 years following the legendary Anth/BBdK showdown, and probably 15 from where I'd really like to be. Maybe if I quit killing my body on every vacation or event, that would be a good start. Pretty much sidelines me for 2 weeks. Plus, now that I have kids it's just that much harder.

-It's Dre Day :scream:

-Jelly of PTI(pti) in NYC, what a place man. Reward yourself with a treat from Levain Bakery during one of your park runs, which I assume is the main reason you are going.

Pti has stepped up his travel game significantly. Granted most of his trips are to run dumb races, but our boy is getting after it.

Kudos.

About time. Was beginning to wonder if he was just going to wait until he was 70 and in a wheelchair to start spending a little money.

Dude is fiscally irresponsible as hell in 2015, can't believe he's wasting his disposable income doing fun things again. Proud of him though.

If you wanna go full retard go with ketogenic diet and hit the weights. Tough to maintain tho, and one little slip knocks you down.

After eating no carbs (sans veggies) for a week or so, that first pizza/bread/chip/chick fil a is just **miserable**.

There have been a few studies recently showing non-celiac gluten intolerance is a thing, but I'm still skeptical. It usually exists in the 20-40 yo women with anxiety and fibromyalgia so I think we need to pump the breaks a bit.

Shorts:

- No longer Dre Day. Arrivederci.

- Anth sounds like UofL Fan with his Tour talk. Tom this and Lance that.

- Still can't believe UK's "luck" this year with someone like Murray being available that late. Besides MAYBE Brown, dude is exactly what we needed on this team.

- When did PTI and Pat Green break up?

- What's the Keeneland plan this year? Lass has never been.

- I love JCrew buttondowns but it's hard for me to find the right fit.

- I'm loving podcasts now that I have them in my life but still it's hard for me to find a good one. What are some of the better ones? Really, my favorites are Jim Rome and Dan Patrick at this point.

- Thursday Country 5:

1. Shotgun Rider Tim McGraw
2. Midland John Edward Baumann
3. Wrecking Ball Eric Church
4. Out Last Night Kenny Chesney
5. Talladega Eric Church

-Please keep me off that list, Pope. Thanks!

-Not that it happens much anymore, but nothing worse than getting sucked into a NASA/space-time continuum article by an incredible headline like "TIME TRAVEL IS NEAR, PER NASA" only to encounter highly technical jargon about some experiment done with tiny particles in a vacuum and then the rest marcus be in greek. Also, it's actually never really going to happen. /rolleyes

My mind simply can not grasp anything related to physics. Just does not compute. Hate myself for even clicking the link.

-Pretty big Police/Sting kick at the moment.

MY POWER 5:

1. King of Pain
2. Every Little Thing She Does
3. De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da
4. If I Ever Lose My Faith
5. Wrapped Around Your Finger

-Black tie optional wedding this weekend. May give the white dinner jacket a run, per my lady's personal request. Always debonair when appropriate.

-New Orleans for a bachelor party weekend of Oct. 3.

- I may be able to do the 10th.

- I know you're Country Music Snob, Adam, but it's not like I was listing Florida-Georgia Line or Sam Hunt.

- Andre freaking Riddick played overseas for almost 20 years?

- Is Madisonville the best "small" town in KY? Considering the cast of characters and contributions to UK athletics, it seems like it.

- I'm going to miss Jon Stewart. I'm sure Noah will do a fine job, but The Daily Show was about as consistent of watch as one could find the last 15 years.

- This Fultz recruitment is odd. Meyer says he'd be shocked if UK didn't land the kid...but everyone else and common sense points to Louisville.

- Best CFB Uniforms:

1. Penn State
2. USC
3. Ole Miss
4. Georgia
5. LSU
6. Ohio State
7. Notre Dame
8. Texas
9. Michigan
10. Oregon

-Samesy. I'll take you out for a big steak or something. Your parties never treat me well. Plus I'm not wearing a pirate costume or disco gear to Keeneland.

-Ancillary bonus for wearing the jacket is pocketing a little extra tip cash from the other patrons that confuse you with the staff.

'Best Little Town on Earth' per 60 minutes back in the day, TS. :sunglasses:

It's cool for a weekend, but I could never live there.

But, the guys that live around the course all have carts, dope *** setups, pools, etc...it's a pretty cool deal for those guys all live near one another.

-Auburn needs to be in there imo. So sharp. Also, always loved the Tennessee whites for some reason.:flushed:

We got that dude in Briscoe who has some dawg in him. Kid is a NYC guard at the core. Fearless. Cocky. Is going to run his trap at opponents trying to get in their heads.

Love all of this but I'm predicting right now he's going to drive some of our fans crazy this year at times.

I hate my birthday. One of the worst days of the year, imo.

LSU is no.1 with a damn bullet.

Auburn is clean even though Under Armour typically makes trash uniforms. For instance, South Carolina is consistently terrible. Like, they look like an XFL team most of the time.

Versailles doesn't count, imo. It's got all the Lexington amenities.

You could also argue the same for Bardstown/Louisville.
