Wesley Woodyard and Stevie Johnson have been long time starters in the NFL. Corey Peters and Garry Williams started a lot of games in the NFL. And then you have guys like Burton Lindlay Woodson Little Jarmon Peters etc. who all had cups of coffee in the NFL or better.

We have a very talented team this season but 2007 was VERY talented by Kentucky standards. Brooks did a helluva job gettimg guys to the NFL.

I just watched Tamme have a pretty good game for Atlanta yesterday.

We're a 2.5 favorite against Missouri, per KSR. No excuses this week. Get it done.

cup of coffee = baseball term.

not football.

particularly useful when discussing a september call up as rosters expand to 40 players, or a mid season, short term promotion. this happens frequently, and is possible because mlb teams own their minor league counterparts, unlike in other sports.

clean it up, gyero.

This really should be the new Kentucky football logo.

agent I work with found something pretty awesome while cleaning out his car the other day, and shared it with me. he played juco baseball and eventually a couple years in the minors. same single a team as royce clayton.

he actually had his single a baseball card, a signed contract from topps, and his first (uncashed) and only royalty check....

....for $5.

thank god he kept that, and never took it to the bank. pretty cool momento.

^ Sounds like he is cheaper than you. Guarantee that car doesn't have AC or power windows as old as it must've been.

Did we really beat them back in '86? Sounds like propaganda to me, honestly. That footage could be doctored like the moon landing footage.

I get the jest, but not only do i remember the win, I own a copy of it on DVD. I've watched it once for re-verification purposes only, and from that I gathered the only way we stand a chance against them fuc*ers is up here in November with snow on the ground, and temps below 30 degrees imo

2007 finished the regular season 1-4 after LSU including getting crushed at Mississippi State. They weren't exactly 1995 Nebraska.

In fairness, State beat us up here in '07..cold *** gray October day and we played like hot ****.

my car is probably like yours -- it does have ac and power windows. the big difference, however, is that mine takes me to work.
It's funny you say that. It made me realize that I haven't owned a car that has taken me to work since 1998. Looks like that might not be the case much longer. No car payment has helped me build my empire.

I've always heard that Spurrier complained to the SEC about the weather here in November and got the game moved to earlier in the season.

99 for that seems about right, bbdk. I priced an iphone 4, and it was 65 per side, but had to take it in to the shop. peep facebook for a couple reviews to be sure, but most places do the same exact thing with the same exact product.

Cool, thanks. Happened post KSR-scramble, with ABH, of course. I've dropped this exact case/phone 100x over the years in different versions, no issue.

Drink with Jerry from 9am-3am = phone busted. Didn't even notice or know when/how it actually happened. Apple is a joke.

It was Galen Hall who said he'd never bring another one of his teams up here that late in the season again. Spurrier got it Grandfathered in when he took over.

Booked a trip for lassie to Portland to visit her old grad school bestie solo in early December, for 3 nights. #GroveSt [cheers]

...and then countered & booked myself an *approved* return (solo) trip to The Meadows the weekend of November 7th to "even things out" and really get it out of my system.o_O

We shall see if this gets vetoed down the line, but I seem to be good, and am prepared to throw a scary fit if things get squirrelly. No way I'm going to let this ultimate blessing & display of love be overturned.

about halfway thru armada, written by the same nerd who did ready player one. I'm assuming several of you dbag geeks have wagged off to these, no? ernest cline.

shockingly, I actually get many of the pop culture/sci fi type references.

How is Armada? I've read Ready Player One, and kind of enjoyed it, but thought it was tedious and cheesy in a "lonely fat neck beard seeking romance" kind of way.

That's just embarrassing. Absolutely no reason he should be in that kind of shape. Give it ten years and there will be a Go Fund Me to buy his fatass a motorized wheelchair after the diabetes claims a leg.

How much heavier is he now than his playing weight?

I know it's mostly his fault, but I still feel kinda sorry for him, seems like pretty much the best/most genuine dude ever, and truly loves UK. Can see him dying unexpectedly at some point way too early...

Is he a big drinker/partier too, or nah?

He was in the group behind me and pope at the UK alumni scramble. we talked a bit about high school days and some mutual acquaintances, and I felt kinda sorry for him.

He didn't look comfortable in his own skin, which is understandable, I guess. Always adjusting his shirt, pulling up shorts, struggling to tee up his golf ball.
