How would this be the best time ever to be a uk fan? Doesn't uk get basically this exact same class every year? Because uk beat Duke last night? Wasn't uk favored? Doesn't uk beat good teams every year? And what has cal done with all this talent?? Win a lot of games? Games don't even matter. Do we hang banners for games? This is just a regular day when you cheat like cal does. Cal is probably sitting on a beach somewhere with Sonia and reading this message board and telling Sonia we are all losers. I've been waiting on the cable man since 8am

Part of the fun of these road trips is the super secret gathering of recruiting Intel and other scuttlebutt. Then contemplating who and when to share it with...all the while enjoying some frosties, watching us kick dukes ***, and then top it off with a fine meal.

Have fun on the rest of those roadies. Recruiting table is set.

Cheers from Geno's East.

[laughing] Pope sure is determined to make us feel terrible about not going to Chicago for the 10th time in the last few years.

Can safely say everyone back home is doing just fine, bub. Been as glorious of a 48 hours in Louisville as I can recall in quite some time...

Enjoy your food.

Meh, we'll be in NYC in a few weeks but congrats on your Chicago trip. Heard Chicago is great... can't wait to finally check it out. Yesterday I got a little jealous while I was working but like I said, don't know the last time I was actually home for one of those games. Was kind of nice.

Also, lol at your recruiting scoop. I got the same text from 3 different people about the same time.

On the flight home last week, I sat behind a row of guys (3-4) who had spent a few weeks backpacking around Europe to "celebrate one of their divorces," which i thought was pretty funny in its own right. So American Airlines still serves free beer/wine on overseas flights and they start loud talking- ended up having an hour long discussion about "which music video did you jerk it to the most." The overall winner among them was Mariah's "Honey" video [laughing], with the others being a mix of Brittney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Shakira videos.

As a loud convo on a crowded airplane with people trying to sleep, it was a solid effort.

BREAKING NEWS: I am flying back to NYC from visiting the wife's fam the morning of December 19th to go to the UK-OSU game and (here's the breaking news part), the wife IS NOT coming home til Sunday evening. :airplane: :basketball:[banana][banana][banana][banana][banana]:cheers2::beer::beer::beer::pizza:

About 36 hours of time to spend with Wildcat friends and lots of booze. Truly a glorious time to be alive. Need some notes from SAE on how to hide my very very obvious excitement about this turn of events.

I realize Doyle is all things Indiana now, but pretty weird seeing him not even COMMENT on any of the games last night?

Other local writers still seem to enjoy the national landscape...what a weird transition it's been with him.

speaking of Indiana, Parrish's tear jerk-er sympathy article on Crean was awful

"look at these results, listen to what a good guy he is, cut it out with your mean tweets & memes!!!"

Good call on "Honey." Toni Braxton and Janet Jackson had some good ones, too.

Out of left field, if you're into heroin chic- Fiona Apple "Criminal."

A free weekend in NYC, right before Christmas, with all of your Wildcat buddies?

Man... probably best to just acknowledge it's going to be great, but toss her something so she doesn't feel completely discarded.

i.e.

"Yea, of course it's going to be fun going to the game and everything, but it kind of sucks not being with you around Christmas."

I mean, that should do it. If she's looking for anything else it's an elaborate woman scheme of sorts.

I'd be careful with that one....omit that part or you're playing with fire.

Email the Following Morning: GUESS WHAT BABE WHAT I'M COMING HOME WITH YOU NOW SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT BEING ALONE.

My strategy these days is to just not even mention the upcoming event AT ALL.

Will feel like a bit of a chore to watch Saturday for sure, but Barker gives a legitimate reason just if only for curiosity sake.

Definitely interested to see what it looks like with him for an entire game, even with the competition down.

-So, the ISIS bomb that brought down the Jet was hidden in a soda can? Ugh, that's scary AF.

I considered that, but Holiday travel being what it is I don't think she could make last minute plans work so easily.

Also, she's with her family (which she "NEVER" gets to spend time with), and I have found that to be virtually bullet proof in these situations. I mean, when they're all together at my in-law's I can basically walk out of the house and leave for most of they day before anyone would even notice I'm missing.

Lassies ALWAYS choose their family time over you. TS. And I use that to my advantage quite frequently.

...unless her family lives 2 miles away from your house.

But in your situations, you're probably correct.

my lass has a 1-2 hour gossip conversation with each parent on a weekly basis. checking in to get the scoop on which relatives are doing all manner of terrible things.

must be a female thing, and im assuming others do this as well?

My sister talks to both my mom and dad at least 2-3x a day. I call them weekly and feel like I'm a pretty damn good son.

Sure am glad Cal is smart enough to just pay his players and not use whores! The difference in the overall outcome is amazing!

May come as a shock but yeah my wife and her mother talk a ton, probably every other day and who knows the amount of texts back and forth. They also share an eBay account.

Anybody else get a call from the "IRS" stating you were being sued? Accountant says people are falling for **** like this. Giving them credit card or check numbers over the phone to SETTLE NOW.

Weird way to wake up this morning.

First off, I always expect an elaborate woman scheme of sorts. Don't think I have to reference Xmas. She will be with her family. We arrive in Denver Wednesday. I leave Saturday to fly home to NYC for the game. She flies back Sunday evening. So I will have just put in a sold 3 days with the in-laws. Plus, the new pup will be with her, so yeah, she won't be thinking about me at all. A couple well timed texts, and I think I'll be fine. Really just have to give her no reason to want to change her flight to Saturday as well.

"Oh yeah, I'm flying back this morning, I'd forgotten all about it. Oh, yes, I'm packed, gotta go, love ya!".
