Judging by the number of tickets I have been offered (unsolicited) this week, if the terrorists attack Commonweath Stadium tonight, there won't be any casualties.

Weather looking to be identical to the Vandy game a few years ago: 40 degrees and raining. If there's more than 20k asses in seats I'll be shocked.

Actually Murray got the T. That is 2 for him (both BS). Skal is fine, he has never had to play constant defense or work for position in high school and AAU. He is a little soft, but that will get fixed. Little concerned with Murray with those lazy passes and jumping in the air then trying to find a open man. Clean that **** up. Wright State just played harder and wanted to prove they belonged on the same court as the big boys, and if you did not think that type of game was coming from a young, full of cockiness team after handling Duke easily, then you need to brush up on your being a college basketball. 100% lock that focus and motivation would be lacking for this one, and 100% lock the next game will be the same.

UK should just make it a thanksgiving promotion. Bring in a canned good and get free admission.

Only masochists and delusional super fans would want to pay to see this game

Skal = lazy take may be among the most simpleton takes ever....

He's 4 games into his first big boy basketball. Lost, inexperienced, timid, soft, even clueless I can entertain for now...but not really, he's fine.

Lazy?

[eyeroll]
Maybe not the best word but we will use Cal and Ulis's words. Cal said "there was a lot of casual play" and Ulis said "we came out a little lax"

Skal will be fine but I like John do not tolerate casual play very well.

The schedule page on UK's website might be the biggest clusterf*ck of all time. :chairshot:

Yep, its terrible.

Shame on all you lazy, fair weather fans skipping out on tonight's game. Unless you are in Antigua, Jamaica, or running an Ultra I really don't want to hear it.

Skal = Tayshaun Prince

Briscoe confuses me -- sometimes he a Frosh Keith Bogans - sometimes he just looks drunk out there

I'm already sick of hearing how #23 does yoga , jujitsu or whatever the fak

Alex-Poy reminds me of Richard Madison

"Laat Shift" is a good horror movie -- all takes place in a single night --- kind of like a more satanic version of The Shining … but in a police station

Glad to see everyone using the proper "Briscoe" and not the completely reprehensible "Zay".

You all really avoided an embarrassment there. Good call to retire that uofl ****.

Wright St gave a solid blueprint on how to defend UK with a sagging defense and not giving UK the drive. UK has to start hitting outside some outside shots to adjust & loosen up the defense bc almost every team will play us this way from here on out.

Duke extends their man to man way out trying to beat you straight up. It was a matchup made in heaven for our guards. No other team we play will defend us that way.

I will say that tailgate from that Vandy game someone mentioned earlier was an all timer. Cold weather had everyone on the brown water heavy that day and we were packed around those tiny heaters like sardines. It was pretty damned fun in my mid 20's but I don't want any part of it today.

It's obvious from Cal's comments and the way we play that the 3 pointer is merely an afterthought at the moment. We shoot it as a last resort on most possessions. Hopefully, manufacturing quality looks from 3 becomes a bigger part of the offense as the season progresses. The way we play right now is way too predictable and once teams stop fouling us, we could run into some trouble, like the 2014 team during SEC play. Ulis will prevent us from falling to the USC nadir by himself, but a downturn is inevitable without an evolving offensive attack.

The difference is it was an SEC game, EVERYONE was there (at least at our tailgate) so we made the most of it and had a blast.

...today is going to be historic low attendance....Guessing Top 5.

-ZayZay is shooting about 80% off the bounce, and about 20% from catch & shoot (including FT). Wayyy to much going on in his stroke when he has time to think. Love the kid, but having your PG (potentially) be that shaky is a problem.

Kid is going to LIVE at the line given his relentless attacking style, hopefully something magical happens and he figures it out.

Agree that the outside threat has to be presented. I do think Cal would rather have them driving first. Settling for threes is much easier than getting the killer instinct and driving to the rim.

But damn, the deep ball has been uber disappointing

If we had Consensus 1st team AA & preseason National POY pick, AKA The Water Fountain, it would be a non-issue. :eek:kay:

Briscoe's broke *** jumper along with his height, or lack thereof, give me hope that he will be back for another season in Lexington. He may project higher than Ulis now and that will probably always be the case, but Briscoe can actually improve his stock if he can fix his jumper whereas Ulis is not going to grow taller.

If he's really 6-3, with that body, I don't see the height issue at PG in the NBA.

Westbrook, Rose, Curry, Rondo, Bledsoe, Parker, Rondo, Paul, Williams, Lillard....

...all 6'3 or shorter. As are most NBA point guards. Not comparing his game to theirs, but I don't see his height as being of any concern. There aren't many 'tall' PGs in the NBA, really.

2-8 Florida Atlantic taking Florida to overtime on the road. The East was a gigantic pile of dog **** this year and we wasted the hell out of it.

I thought he was listed at 6'1"?

Looks like he was 6'1.5" without shoes and 6'2.5" with shoes at our combine. Little taller than I was thinking. Still a little on the smallish size, but the jump shot is the thing that everyone will ding him for on draft boards. Surely he can fix that, at least to some extent.

6-3.5 in shoes at a few camps -- listed at 6'3" virtually everywhere. Even if 6'2", what's the difference?

Go study the roster, then come back.

You would think we had more 41's -- but there's only been two…….come to think of it - that IS an ugly jersey # …maybe that's why Pope and Lyles were the only two …. #44 is a bad *** jersey number……..

you can't help but foul hard if you wear #44…...

Who in the hell are you talking to Castle?

You want to know what is really annoying? We are shooting like 100 percent from 3 after the play is whistled dead.
