he's not going to drive and kick to willis when briscoe's defender is already helping
he's 5 9 so he's not great at shooting over people and as a point guard his instinct is to make the obvious pass out, and you end up with the ball in briscoe's hands with 4 seconds on the shot clock

I figured out when you can give Ulis a breather; when Murray starts hitting every GD thing he takes. He doesn't need Ulis.

Mr. Gentle have you watched this game. Ulis has no problem pulling up hitting shots, shooting over people, dishing it out or in the lane. You better have the ball in the hands of your best shooters and free throw shooters late. You want Briscoe chucking 3's or on the line late in a close game?

it's not as if this situation hasn't come up. briscoe's defender helps early rather than letting ulis or murray play on on one. ulis usually passes out of it to briscoe. murray tends to lose the ball or take a bad shot (that's still better than briscoe shooting off the catch)
now that willis plays you can employ that high ballscreen to get either a switch or a willis 3 late in the shot clock though not everyone is going to guard it as poorly as vandy did

Things really starting to come together. Who knew the Tayshaun Prince of Bullitt County was the answer for this team. He makes all the little plays, his defense is improving, and I trust his three point shot to go in just about every time.
