I never disparaged my son’s t ball coach, but a UK offensive coordinator probably shouldn’t be impressed by the organization of a t ball team that his kid isn’t on.

Yeah, I agree. I thought this was a pretty cool chat but it's actually kind of loose butthole.
Defense had some good moments. We finally used TEs in the passing game. I had several beers. It’s a win but woof
We got constant pressure on their QB basically the entire game and the two new RBs are total studs. But man, Calzada and some of Hamden’s play calling leaves a lot to be desired. Kiffin, if he’s able will absolutely stick it to us next Sat, Spurrier style.
I think it's pretty obvious who's tee ball team was a disorganized mess.

Agreed. I told my buddies at the start of the game that I thought Calzada threw a pretty ball. I think I’m correct on that. The problem is those pretty balls often end up 15 yards from the intended target.

If we DON'T get a consistent rush, Kiffin will take advantage of the entire route TREE.
I'd LOVE to make him miserable going home, but it's hard to muster much confidence. It might be irrational, but if was going to be a night game I'd somehow feel better about it. A crowd that's been drinking all day always comes out more rowdy and fired up.

As a head coach, Kiffin offenses have generally struggled a bit against Kentucky. I think he's 3-1 against us with all of the games being settled by less than a td (and 2 of the wins being in OT).
Ole Miss wants to constantly take deep shots/crosses but Brad White's "sit back in a zone and let the other team make a mistake" gameplan seems to frustrate it a bit.
Maybe we get worked but I don't fear this Ole Miss offense anymore than anyone else we play in conference.

Butch Hamdan and Rich Scangarello have VERY similar career paths. A lot of lateral moves, limited growth, short stints at a lot of places. Not saying Butch is going to be Rich, but he better step up soon or it won't look too good.
For the most part all 27 of the fired O-Coordinators we have had under Stoops have either made a lateral move or no move at all. That should tell you something about his ability to judge talent.
Liam Coen is now the HC of the Bucs, so at least he has that going for him. I think Stoops could resurrect the corpse of the great Bill Walsh and make him look bland and ordinary as a play caller.

Had a friend try to tell me we’re all getting a rebate check from all the money the tariffs are bringing in. I told the idiot, you mean you might get some of the money back you’ve paid from the National Tax.

Most of Stoops' modern OC's didn't pan out (sans Coen) but his early guys typically went on to better clubs or head coaching gigs.

If I were a head college football coach, my strategy in terms of who I hire is this:
By the way, there is NEVER a reason to hire somebody on the #8 or #9 line if you are an SEC program.
- Experienced OC who is considered an offensive genius
- Guy I know will stick around for multiple years because consistency is important
- Great OC who isn't ever going to be offered a HC position (e.g. an offensive version of Monte Kiffin)
- Great OC who just isn't worth a **** as a HC (e.g., Josh McDaniels).
- Up and Coming OC who will stay at least 3 years before taking over an HC job (e.g., Chad Morris at Clemson)
- Great OC who just embarrassed himself as a HC and needs redemption (e.g., Sark, Lane Kiffin)
- 20-something, shot in the dark OC who you may just get lucky with (e.g., Charlie Weis Jr.)
- Middling OC who ain't going nowhere and will provide consistency year to year (e.g., Eddie Gran)
- Up and coming OC who views you as a stepping stone and can't wait to get out of there (e.g. Coen)
- Middling sometimes QB coach / sometimes OC who jumps around from job to job (e.g., Hamdan)
- Journeyman flunky who is usually just a position coach and gets fired wherever he goes (e.g., Scang)
