Same. The turbo TV dorks are always dropping "Did you catch the reference to....etc, etc."Originally posted by anthonys735:

-Hate that Mad Men and series like that are sooo long b/w seasons. Can barely remember story lines from last season.
I mean, are we talking about in present day, or do you get to pick from any point in time of your/their life? That changes the list quite a bit.Originally posted by anthonys735:

They're having the families over Sunday. I'm more concerned postgame and the entire vibe of the night. Don't want my boy handcuffed. It's Final 4- everything has to be right.Originally posted by B.B.d.K.:
That sucks.
But to be fair, almost all my REAL "UK Friends" are married, and 'having the family over for Easter/to watch the game' simply would not be an option. Period.
No. Way. In. Hell.

You care only about bragging about going to the game and where you ate.Originally posted by B.B.d.K.:

My main concern is the game, couldn't care less about the scene/party/vibe/other stuff.
Considering it. They already have a good crew out there with my uncles and cousins.Originally posted by anthonys735:

I agree Fall Keeneland> Spring Keeneland.Originally posted by wcc31:
I think it comes down to the fact that Kentucky October weather is 100x more consistent than Kentucky April weather. Seems you get 50-and-rainy more often that not.
Seems like you deal with this type of ******** a lot. Is this type of formality just a Southern girl thing or do all of you marrieds run into this?Originally posted by CClarkUK:
My wife also turns 30 later this month and trying to plan a simple dinner with some of her friends is like trying to chase down a bunch of stray cats. I thought it would be a simple email out to a few people and they could either show up- or not. Its turned into people being mad because i left some people off the email, It's so &so's engagement party that weekend and I shouldve respected that, and a slew of other ridiculous responses. Most of her (our?) friends are solid folks- but the ones that are over the top are way over the top. They never really got out of the "I was hot in college and people did what i wanted" mode.
You don't see it much and it's more of a Fall thing, but I LOVE (Originally posted by drxman1:

Sunny and high in the 50's Saturday, love the fact girls will still be out in sundresses freezing their tight little asses off.
The lass's friends are about as dysfunctional at planning dinners and events as anything I've ever seen. Last month we were supposed to be at dinner at 730, and at 725 the location had yet to be established. Listening to them try and figure it out just blew my mind.Originally posted by CClarkUK:
I dont think its that common- but with my wifes friends in particular- they never do *anything* without the entire group being involved. You can never just go to dinner with one other couple. You have to invite like 5-6 pairs. Like i said- I just wanted a few people to come to dinner on her birthday. Its turned into a charade. Knew this was gonna be the way it goes when we had 12 ATTENDEES at our wedding.
Filet. My kids eat steak all the time. Heck they have already said they are excited about trying the shrimp cocktail. Add some steak fries, mac n cheese, & dessert. Kids are stoked. Wife's family lived in Indy for years & it's her parents favorite restaurant anywhere so the grandparents have been talking it up all week how great it is going to be. Should be great!Originally posted by SAECATFAN:
