Crazy hailstorm in North Dallas/Plano last night. Both of my skylights have multiple holes in them and I spent an hour picking up Golf ball to Tennis ball sized hail from inside my house. Daughters car is a mess with multiple large cracks in the windshield and a hood that looks like the surface of the moon.

Driving to work this morning, I noted that every skylight in the neighborhood looks like mine do.

Been there done that. We put two roofs on the house in the span of 3 years here in okc a few years back. Called the insurance co while the storm was happening just to get in early.

Sad, that is the second in the area in a week (Fort Worth had a huge one last week). That is why I would never put skylights in. They are hail magnets and over time will leak.

Don't ask me how, but that same cell dropped tiny pellets on me last night.

If you have to replace your roof, I would suggest hail-resistant shingles. You'll save ~40% a year on your home-owners insurance I believe.

Hail was one of the 12 plagues that God unleashed on the Egyptions when they wouldn't let Moses' people go, so you may be on to something.

Too bad there wasn't a "how" in Abbott/Costello's "who's on first"; you two could be on tour.:eek:
