Half court offense

Im not a basketball coach, so maybe there’s an explanation. Why do we run this weave against a zone defense? Especially when we’re far behind, seems to waste 6-7 seconds. The defense just seems to stand there and look at us. Also why not try the two bigs together last night hen nothing else was working? Not criticizing Pike, I just don’t understand.

My buddy was texting me during the game wondering why all our ball screen action was at the top the key funneling into the middle of the zone.
