First game before heading to KC is at home on 11/25 vs Prairie View A&M.
SC hasn’t been very good since their fluky FF run. For what it’s worth (and preseason models aren’t worth much!), they’re actually slotted about ten spots below NU in the Bart Torvik model. So should be a good chance at a non conference P5 win.
Gamecock fans are likely saying "NU hasn't been very good since their fluky NCAA Tournament win....."
What with that SC logo? It looks like some unholy cross between a chicken and an Arkansas Razorback.
The other side of the bracket is TCU and Tulsa, so we will get one of those the next day. Not bad - SC probably the toughest of the 3 potential opponents but all 4 teams are within the margin of uncertainty heading into a new season. Hopefully will yield some competitive basketball, and more importantly 2 Cats non-conference victories.
