Hated the news about Halladay. Kind of gave me flashbacks about Payne Stewart. It is just really sad for someone who had so much life ahead of them to die so young. 40 is just way too young. To have accomplished everything he did, and have the ability to enjoy a very comfortable retirement...just sad.

It's a cold reminder that nothing is guaranteed and to enjoy life to the fullest while you can.

It seems like just yesterday I watched him no hit my Reds in the divisional round of the playoffs. News of death is common, but the reality of just how fast things can change on this crazy ride doesn't set in until the thought of someone that you know or even just familiar with vanishes from the world before you can really grasp it. Cherish each day and remember that the next isn't promised.
