"Hamilton" coming to Cincinnati....question about its casting

Feel the same way about Phantom, Les Mis, Wicked, Chicago et al? If so, you don't know what you are missing. Really good Broadway shows are impressive as heck, IMO.
That being said, I won't pay $500 to see Hamilton, think the most I ever paid for Broadway was maybe $150 a ticket.
Why would there be outcry? It's part of the charm of the production.
I saw the original crew on Broadway a few years ago. It's the most remarkable piece of artistic performance I've ever seen. It's modern day Mozart. That level of genius.

Again, anyone is free to write and cast your play as you see fit. I'm not sure I've heard an outcry of "white actors playing non-whites" lately. I've heard an outcry of white people donning black/brown makeup and portraying black people, but that's far from Broadway. Perhaps if Daveed Diggs used some white paint and walked around mocking Thomas Jefferson there would have been this so-called outrage.

It's orders of magnitude better than anything from Hamilton. If this song were a movie, it would have won an oscar. Also, it makes me proud to be an America. George Washington kicks ***.

Unless it is made by Trey Parker or Matt Stone, there is zero chance that I will ever watch any musical. I had a boss in college who would listen to broadway soundtracks all day, every day.

-dont give a poop about skintone of actors. Its the playing loose/fast with facts and historical inaccuracies that irritate me. The songs are *really* good however.
-wife had very significant roles in productions at the opera house in lex years ago. she was paid to go to school for singing...therefore, ive seen lots of musical performance. I much prefer classical vocal performance. Opera is 2nd musicals are a distant 3rd.
-on that note i would call showtunes "pop culture" at best in lieu of proper culture. Sibelius is culture, rogers and hammerstein is entertainment.
