Hmm...
Go to Hamilton or watch college basketball?
Go to Hamilton or listen to Led Zep/Stones/Beatles/Allmans on my stereo?
Go to Hamilton... or do ANYTHING else?
Pretty easy decision to ignore Hamilton.
So I see tickets are almost $500. I guess I'll have to pass.
But I do have a question.
By what justification are Hamilton, Burr, Jefferson and Washington played by African-American actors? I mean, clearly that's historically false. I though the term for that was cultural appropriation or something along those lines.
I've really heard very little outcry about this, and I really don't care, other than to point out that, casting say, white actors for Harriet Tubman, or Frederic Douglass, or Crispus Attucks would be met with huge indignation and outcry. And rightfully so.
So why the inconsistency?
Why would there be outcry? It's part of the charm of the production.
I saw the original crew on Broadway a few years ago. It's the most remarkable piece of artistic performance I've ever seen. It's modern day Mozart. That level of genius.

Why’s there an outcry when white actors play non whites?
Again, anyone is free to write and cast your play as you see fit. I'm not sure I've heard an outcry of "white actors playing non-whites" lately. I've heard an outcry of white people donning black/brown makeup and portraying black people, but that's far from Broadway. Perhaps if Daveed Diggs used some white paint and walked around mocking Thomas Jefferson there would have been this so-called outrage. Why’s there an outcry when white actors play non whites?
As with about all of “progressivism”, inconsistencies abound.

Is the play even good, or are people just going to see it to say they saw Hamilton?
I'd pay $500 to see it with Lin-Manuel Miranda starring just to say I did, but $500 to see some randoms from Cincinnati perform? No chance.
I really don't understand the appeal or why people are excited in Cincinnati, but I've never really been a theater guy.
With that said, Hamilton is the best musical ever.
C. Yes, it's expensive, but it keeps the cheap and ignorant people from the audience...much more enjoyable to be around people who enjoy a great show.
D. Happy for the cast to give Pence an earful. His sorry a$$ probably paid $1k a ticket to attend. I am sure none of the crew and cast wanted him to attend, so they gave him his money's worth.
Book of mormon is the only one worth seeing these days
