His was simultaneously the best and worst show I've ever been to. Saw him in the Biloxi Coloseum back in the late 80s. He was fantastic! But there were more fights, more Jim Beam, more pot than you can believe and all his rowdy friends were in the crowd. Lots of fights, but he just kept playing. I was thoroughly impressed, but as a young Airman at the time, was also worried I was going to get a contact buzz and get popped for urinalysis and get kicked out.

I remember back in the late 80's or early 90's when he was booed off the stage in Bristol because he was wasted and putting on a ****** show. I'm thinking he's had several nights like that one. [laughing]

That sounds like a super-fun gathering of confederate flag-waving rednecks you couldn't pay me to attend.

I watched him 3 years in a row at TBA in Knoxville back in the early 90s.

He did great in 2 of the shows. Guy is a musical machine.

But one of them, he was so damn drunk, the SOB could barely stand.

Practically had a full bar behind the drum set.

And some guy a couple rows behind me threw up on a chick in front of him.

A friend of mine went to see George Jones one night, and said The Possum was so drunk he fell off his seat a few times and forgot the lyrics to several songs. Another friend went to see G-n-R in Knoxville and said they came out really late and Axle Rose was jawing at the audience before they even started playing. I think they played for maybe 30 minutes or so and left the stage which almost started a riot.

I say have Hank Jr. invite Dale Jr. along as special guest. Man, talk about Necks in the crowd. Whew, Skoal, Beechnut, Wrangler, several others would fight each other for sponsorship. They could tell all kinds of stories about Daddy and Diddy.

Not at all. Just good that folks like you are stupid enough to reveal themselves. Makes it easier for the rest of us. Continue on being an awful bigot.

Yeah, I'm a white guy who's racist against other whites. You figured me out.

Don't let these hilljacks give you ****, @Roe07 - none of these bumpkins appreciate the finer things in life that you soccer fans celebrate. For instance, I bet not a one of them on this thread has ever witnessed a stunning 0-0 tie of second tier American professional soccer surrounded by tens of bearded, hipster baristas dressed in kilts.

I first saw Hank Jr. when I was in the Army and he played at our enlisted men's club in Wurzburg Germany. His mother Audrey was with him along with some of his father's band. This was in 1967.

Wow - what’s that saying?...
Oh yeah... live and let live. Pretty judgmental. Ok we get it... you don’t like country music so anyone who likes HWJr is not worth your time.
