Ha i didnt know Yogi Berra came to the free Rutgers message boards that you had to wish him a happy birthday here...

Its bad enough that we get the safe or out at home debate every other month but this just reeks of "Hey look at me"

Besides there was already another thread on it

Dude, are you that miserable of a person that you have to take the time to complain about this? WTF? why even open up the thread if it bothers you so much?

Fantastic Zap, happy birthday to your dad, and congrats on the Presidential Medal of Freedom for him as well. That is quite an honor.

Moms Skillethead, the alpacas and I wish you the happiest of birthdays, Yogi!

(You were always my favorite opponent back when I was a kid and a huge Indians fan! Have to admit that maybe you were better than Rocky Colavito!)

I haven't been on this board much lately, but I stopped here today just to wish Yogi a very Happy Birthday!!!

Never knew Yogi fought in D-Day. So did my Great Uncle, whom we sadly buried last week after a full life.

Happy Birthday Yogi !

I know if I were alive and a baseball fan when you were playing I would have become a Yankee fan. I wonder how many of millions of fans you created for the Yankees.

Note: Yogi became the Mets coach pretty soon after I became a baseball fan.. and Met fan.

Zappa - I don't know how I missed your thread but Happy Belated Birthday to your dad. I'll never forget the day he gave a hitting clinic to my PAL team under the stands at Yankee Stadium before a double header in 1961. Yogi taught us hitting and Tommy Tresh did the fielding clinic. I brought my dad and brother along and they loved it as much as I did. The Yankees went on to win both games and M&M hit 7 home runs between them that day. Maris made 3 incredible catches falling into the right field stands. It was a day from start to finish that I'll never forget. God bless.

Congrats on the award and happy birthday! Must be nice to look up to a dad like Yogi (not sure how that would feel in general as I was raised by a siingle mom but it must feel awesome).
