It’s true. All the mental health ******** is a ruse, the cure has become worse than the disease. As a father I’m afraid for my kids , I’m not that old but never felt unsafe growing up in the world.
Too many outlets for depressed kids to get even more depressed. Some kids think it's cool to be depressed. And terrible parenting going on. Many parents would rather be friends, or they are absent...
There is mental Illness in our society for sure. Some want to be mentally Ill, some are just f’ing evil and embrace that evil and some have some of each. A culture that wants anything and everything acceptable or you hate the person, you get more of this type of behavior and horrific results.
Work in your area of influence to help others and to work to get people stronger emotionally and mentally. Help them to be able to help others do the same.

When you worship evil and mock God you have a generation of degenerates. Look at the programming on streaming services and see the most watched. Look at the decline in church attendance and lack of biblical truths being preached from the pulpits. Schools are no longer teaching proper curriculum but indoctrinating children on false left wing agenda propaganda of climate change and the perverted wokism and CRT.
There is only one cure for the problems of today and it begins in the pews of churches teaching proper doctrine. The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God beginning in Genesis and ending with Revelation and has everything we need to be productive and successful. The further society falls away from the Bible and keeps glorifying evil, this will continue to get worse. This is the mental illness kids are feeling, the instinctive disconnect between them and their creator; Who is also the creator of everything. He wants their relationship. He walked everyday in the garden with Adam and Eve, He wants the same today with us.
Considering all the child rape and men of God that rip people off, interesting take.
...and I would not want to be standing anywhere near those people come judgement day for fear of being hit by friendly fire...
I have a theory that most peoole who openly mock and deny during their life (assuming they have the opportunity) ...plead with him right before death.
So when you say schools are no longer teaching a “proper curriculum” and are teaching CRT, you’re saying all schools? 80% of schools? And you’ve got evidence of this? Or is this political BS?
There are sickos everywhere, and that even includes the church. What’s interesting to me is that “men of God that rip people off” aren’t seen as the charlatans they are. If they are ripping people off, they aren’t even trying to be Godly. They are preying on Christians and shouldn’t be considered Christians themselves imho.
The function of a society's culture, whether it be religious or secular, is supposed to incentivize behaviors that lead to flourishing families and communities, while giving an individual a perspective on life that makes this process fulfilling and meaningful. From my point of view there were reasons the traditional culture was vulnerable to disintegration, while the current culture is arbitrary and meaningless and cannot create a cohesive society without your occasional mass shooting. There is no good answer at this point but it is tempting to look backwards and wonder if we need to return to more traditional stable ground because even though it was imperfect it was better than what we have currently.
Yes, this is way overblown. People think public schools are brainwashing kids. Of course there may be some teachers crossing the line with CRT (and other hot button issues), but most stay the heck away from those topics as they are so controversial in today's world. And with the political climate the way it is, if a teacher crosses that line during a lesson, you can bet there will be a parent waiting in the office to voice their displeasure. Teachers know this so most steer clear of these topics as they don't want to be on the evening news or have a protest outside their school.
And yes, I'm an administrator of a public school. I lean right, so I'm looking for this all the time. But I just don't see it in the several schools I've been in.

There are some larger more modern liberal/socialist/communist leaning cites and areas that are much more willing to have this “curriculum” in their schools. NYC Chicago SF DC and others you can see as they post on social media and it is retwitted elsewhere. Places like Austin Minneapolis Seattle are also moving/moved that way. Is it as common within Nebraska and other locales that the majority of this board reside, not yet. But pointing it out and having people say it isn’t here don’t worry about, is that helping or harming the chances to curriculum that prepares students for the world and the need for functional education?

I raise my kids. If people rely on teachers to raise their kids that's there problem. My kids are in school 7 hours a day.
It's funny how people refuse to admit the role social media plays on our society. Get rid of social media and a bunch of society's problems go away. Obviously won't happen.
Serious question - how many of these shootings happen in places like NYC, Minneapolis, Seattle vs. conservative places like Texas and Florida?
I would bet more people get shot in Chicago in a year than all the mass shootings combined. California has been having its share lately.
It starts with morals and being taught these at a young age. When a parent(s) morals are corrupt, the child will most likely become corrupt as well. Yes social media is fueling a newer way of spreading demoralizing corruption.
Good question. I’m sure there is a study on it. Are you suggesting areas are more susceptible or more likely to be upset in places where they aren’t thought of as part of the majority of the prevalent thought?

No. I think it's probably pretty random. Crazy people everywhere. Maybe 10 years?
It blows my mind how before the rise of social media you could pretty much name random events where a bunch of people were randomly killed off the top of your head. Columbine. Oklahoma City. Etc. Now people walk into schools or malls or whatever on nearly a monthly basis and kill strangers and we don't seem to have a better answer than 10 years ago. Regardless of city, states, rural, urban, etc.
Personally I think the main problem is crazy people can easily talk to other crazy people. And then an idea that 30 years ago people said was stupid, now crazy people are saying do it. That's just a guess though, this site is as close to social media as I get.
Your child is statistically much more likely to be raped and or sexually assaulted by a public school teacher than a Catholic priest or Catholic School teacher. Doesn't fit the narrative though

Well I would hope so. My kids have had 2 pastors their entire life but have 5 different teachers in a day. And then get different ones next year for the main classes. Plus I didn't even count subs.

But I still see a lot of people and many Christians shrugging their shoulders. They just pretend our society isn't disintegrating in real time right in front of our eyes.
I would estimate that less than 1% of public school teachers in Nebraska had even heard of CRT before it became a favorite topic on Fox News and other media outlets they watch. And then there was the challenge of finding out exactly what it really is. I was told once that apparently it is (or was) offered as an independent study upper level class at UNL-- the recent graduate I talked to said it became a topic since a student asked about it in class after Tucker Carlson had a show about it. The professor said I'll get back to you on that and he let the students know what it was after he had looked into it.

Serious question… if you think this country is better off than it was before, then I see your point. But if we are worse off, what changed? God has been removed from the conversation, what else has impacted this nation more than that?
