The most important part of the Bible is a simple read. I think that's purposeful. The rest has been diluted by humans.
Atonement theory (central theme of Christianity) is also a huge divide. Arminian vs Calvanism vs Universalism.

This thread went to hell in a hand basket. Pun intended...
speaking of hell; if hell were the penalty of sin and Jesus' death was to cover said sins, death wouldn't be enough. In order for Jesus to cover the penalty of sins, He would have to be eternally punished.

I just don't give a rats *** about empty political rhetoric. To me it's no different than professional wrestling promos. Since I don't buy into that, it doesn't make me a "lib" or "right winger". Does NU lean liberal? I would say so but that doesn't mean that CRT is widely taught there. And logically, I would think most people would know all about it if it was.
You realize ths snakes know not to label classes CRT101?
I can't pull a string on a child's toy without hearing crt rhetoric.

That's not logical. Unless you yourself are God and can enlighten me..

The American church is so whacky... It's like puritanism that makes the Jesuit general himself blush, mixed with a weird gnosticism and prosperity gospel. So many deformities... It's sad.

The Jews of the day and Christians did not hold the belief of hell or eternal damnation, hence why Jesus' death was viewed as satisfying to their theology.

The bible states that the penalty of sin is death. If the penalty of sin was eternal punishment, Jesus, in order to pay for said sins, would need to still be there and remain there for all eternity.

Hell exists, but is more of a state of being than a place. And I feel that ultimately a good majority of people will avoid such a fate. The people who will experience it already live it while alive or have made peace with it (somehow) - I'm thinking some certain leaders of men throughout history and in general...

Organized religion is purely a method of control over the populace. I wonder if God will ask “did you believe in Me” or “did you show up on Sunday just so you can lord your self righteousness over others and get cookies after service”. Modern organized religion are the modern money changers and Pharisees, purely a way to control others…. Guns, power and money are the modern American religion…
