I don't think it's a big deal. It likely started out as a "I'll do anything to get you on board pitch.....even have sleepovers...." (Basically a hyperbole). But then the media got a hold of the story and blew it up.....made it more than it probably really was. Of course, it probably didn't take much blowing up considering Harbaugh's antics.

So, credit Harbaugh for going through with it. I'm sure it will bring even more attention to UM. Smart move.

I posted on Twitter today, how many losses before Harbaugh's "eccentricity" becomes plain ole creepy. For us non-UM types, he is very creepy already...

Guy is a very good coach who seems to wear out his welcome/rub folks the wrong way after 2-3 years. Being a Michigan Man, they might put up with him for awhile, though.

I think he will be fine in college as long as he wins. In the NFL there is a constant power struggle between the HC, GM, and owner. In college there's just the HC. And all the players cycle out after a few yrs.

There sort of already is a rule to prevent this - an in home visit cannot occur over two consecutive calendar days. Brown and Schlarman had to call the NCAA and get a waiver when they were snowed in at Bunchy Stallings house a couple of years back. Harbaugh is circumventing this by showing up at the recruit's house just after midnight.
