The only thing better than sarcasm...is when people don't realize it is sarcasm and the only thing better than that...is when people try to explain why it was not really sarcasm, because they did not get it.

Guess I didn't see the sarcasm. I mean you may as well have said Bob Devaney and it would've made just as much sense.

Gonna miss him on the Bills, well liked teammate and did a lot for the area but we couldn't pay him that. Best of luck

Free agency is so interesting to me. You're always trying to upgrade your roster by bringing younger players with a lower price tag, hoping you can get equal production from the veteran they are replacing, or you're trading for a guy who could be a difference maker that is expensive and possibly has an injury problem or off field issues that may crop up.

The Chiefs found Tyran Mathius replacement. They didn't even try to resign Tyrann, as valuable as he is. He was too expensive, because the lions share of the cap is going to the quarterback.

Unless you are the Jags, then you are throwing every dollar at mediocre WR talent because your GM is drunk

I don't recall the details, but Phillips and Mick Stoltenberg were both local kids in the same class and I thought there was some "drama" in the recruiting process as to who was more highly coveted and whether both would get offered. Obviously things worked out well for Phillips. Mick was a solid player but had bad knees.
