losing a piece from a ****** defense?
who car
Hartzog was not by favorite. He got beat far too often and I do not think he processed what was going on the field very fast. He lacked size, tooin portal
It takes you a lot of words to say very little. As a freshman, Hartzog was able to play sound defense when a lot of the other kids were having trouble getting lined up right. The kid did nothing but give his level best to the program. He was a big 10 honorable mention last year. Good luck to him in the portal. He did nothing but give the program his best and is transferring now because there are more capable players in front of him. That last bit is great for the program but I see no need to slag the kid on his way out the door.
North Dakota State tampering with our players?Hartzog was not by favorite. He got beat far too often and I do not think he processed what was going on the field very fast. He lacked size, too
I was never his biggest fan either. I wouldn't say he stinks. BUT what I would say about him and a few other guys who played a lot of minutes for us the past couple years. They dont STINK but if you ate serious about competing for BIG titles and playoff births they shouldn't be playing starters minutes. We are not gonna be beating the top of the conference with that caliber of player. Gotta get better players....He stinks!
They say those who can’t, coach. From all the positives from teammates he may end up coaching. A few years ago with the bloated rosters he would have stayed and played more next year as the injuries hit and maybe ended up coaching here. Now he goes somewhere else to actually play his final year. Maybe he ends up a graduate assistant there. One thing about this wacky new portal is that the kids going into coaching may end up coaching in unexpected locations.I was never his biggest fan either. I wouldn't say he stinks. He seemed to make a lot of key plays amd then make some bad ones.I was never his biggest fan either. I wouldn't say he stinks. With Hartzog's experience, he will land a starting role on a P4 team. There's always someone in need of a good nickel back. But from the NU perspective, we've got to get more physical at the line of scrimmage. Maybe going with a big nickel or hybrid LB for the slot role? This also could be a positive sign that our other CBs are returning and are viewed as better than Hartzog. He seemed to make a lot of key plays amd then make some bad ones.
Indont think in the BIG 10 his size helps him much.
He also has 2 game sealing pics at the end of games I think. Rutgers and Cincinnati. As a freshman, Hartzog was able to play sound defense when a lot of the other kids were having trouble getting lined up right. sounds like he did it the right way...gave it his best shot..and if it did'nt work at NU try it somewhere else.As a freshman, Hartzog was able to play sound defense when a lot of the other kids were having trouble getting lined up right. Doubt that.My guess is he's like Dowdell last year: someone is offering him more money and NU won't match it.
We couldn’t hide him. He had lots of opportunities because opposing OCs and QBs schemed to pick on him.he seemed to end up in the wrong place or the right place alot. smart player with limited physical skills. one thing about him is that he never just seemed to disappear out on the field.
