Has 1 play ruined this team?

I'm talking about the score by Southern Miss before the half. We came out looked so good, then give up a bone head TD. Ever since this team has looked awful. Guess I'm looking for any answer to explain what has happened.

Probably. I think things were headed in that direction since the Missouri game last year. This team had a fragile psyche and that play broke it. Also you have to remember this has been a feature of Stoops coached teams. They do not bounce back at all. I believe when bad things happen it affects him and then filters down to the players. Stoops does not handle crisis well.

The 4th down play against Florida two seasons ago was the turning point. Stoops had that game won. We would have broken the streak and gone to a bowl.

That was the first nail in the coffin.

Team's mental composure would be about as strong as wet toilet paper if one play in the first half of the first game dooms the entire season. We're just not good.....across the board. No one play can propel us to good fundamental FB IMO. Poor fundamental play will rear its ugly head eventually....even if you win a game or two that you should not have won. If we went to a bowl a year or two ago.....that would not fix this team or program. They are fundamentally unsound......no fire......fragile.....no confidence......poor preparation.....no identity. We may get beaten by 50+ a few times this year. GBB!

No. No one play ruins a resilient, inspired, well-coached team. The fact that we aren't well-coached means we are resilient or inspired, and that has ruined the team.

Something doesn't add up. Don't know what it is but it smells fishy

Guys one play may have kept the So Miss game as a W...but UF was going to pound UK no matter and we were always heading to a 4-5 win season. This D Line and O Line can't win

Butch Jones will try to make it 80.
