107 players have announced for the draft. Going to be some disappointed players that do not get drafted.
Bolden has until 4/21 to declare.

Do you have the breakdown? I see sporadic names of players I have never heard of so wondering where to find them all in one place....and i agree, there will be not some but a lot of disappointed players...( many of whom should have stayed in school)

https://watchstadium.com/news/up-to...s-who-declared-for-2019-nba-draft-04-01-2019/
This is updated 4 days ago so not current but only thing I could find.
The number increases every year on the amount of guys leaving. College basketball is getting weaker by the year as the NBA continues to grow.
The new rules may change things as far as number of guys announcing, but the down side will be never seeing superstars play in college.

He's one year from having a Duke degree to fall back on if the NBA does not work out for him,IMO he should come back and enjoy his senior year of college, who knows he may inprove enough to put himself in a good spot for the draft next year as it's supposed to be a weak draft.

Lots of history with bigs staying and really helping their stock with 1 more year, including their senior year. What many discount hear is how much Bolden has enjoyed his time at Duke. If you are really enjoying your time in college and leaving is worse than a 50/50 proposition, why wouldn't you stay.

107! Some guys simply do not see the benefits of staying in school. For every lottery pick there are hundreds of guys who fall flat on their face. Just a shame.

Y'all should see the numbers lining up to apply to medical school. I talked to one med school admissions guy the other day. 3400 applications competing for 62 seats each year. Their average med student leaves with $365K in debt, make very low pay during residency and then gets fleeced by insurance companies and their employers while working 45-60 hours per week and having to see a patient every 12 minutes all day long. Hardly any of them get matched in a specialty they are interested in, too.

Yet, every fall 80% of my biology freshman say they are interested in becoming a surgeon, oncologist, etc. The point of of my story is, when the idea of a career (NBA or doctor) has been romanticized to you all your life, and all you know is the stuff you see on TV, it's very easy for a young person to put their head in the sand and focus on the prerequisites and rewards rather than thinking about your actual odds of making it in the chosen field.

How cool would it be to have Bolden be a 35+% three point guy next year for us?!?!

Attempted 7 of them last year, now he didn't hit one, but having the confidence to put it up this year with another offseason of working on it and gaining the confidence of K could happen.

Which is crazy because we will have public healthcare in 10-15 years, with “private” options/concierge being stupid expensive and there will be floods of clinicians taking that route as gov pay will be abysmal.

Overseas draft? Because he wont get drafted to the nba.
What makes you so sure? Up until he got hurt the first of this year he has been on every draft board since coming to Duke.
Injuries have derailed Bolden so much it’s almost like the Greg Oden effect. With each one his confidence begins to disappear. He has shown the ability to play it’s the ability to keep it up during an entire game or for more then one that has every scout worried.

I just got some insurance claim information and my five night stay at the hospital was only $25,000 per night. It's a bargain!

Yea it’s a joke right now. My company has to charge over $10k with some plans just to get 1/8th actual reimbursement to cover the COGS! Scares the patient to death!

I don’t even want to think about how much medical bills have amounted to throughout my life. If I had to take a guess I’d have to say that it has to be somewhere in the millions of dollars. I had back surgery when I was about 12-13 years old back in the late 80’s and was in the hospital for about 3 weeks and the bill for that surgery was over $100,000.

Hilarious how many guys think they’re ready when they’re clearly not. Don’t feel bad for anyone that makes the wrong decision.

You're terrible FTB. Hilarious, but terrible. And ditto on the happy birthday wishes for Ques.
Whaaat? Am I the only one that waited til they were 21?

*in reality, my 6 year old sister thought it would be funny to get 3 year old me to drink beer at my grandparents’ farm while they were babysitting. 1.5 beers later I got sick and my sister fessed up and my grandparents didn’t babysit us for a while. To this day I say I got sick bc it was Old Milwaukee’s Best and not because I couldn’t hold my liquor.

That's far too young to have to deal with back surgery. My dad has had a total of six neck and back surgeries since he was in his late twenties and it was hard for him, so I can't imagine how that would be for a 12 year old. I hope they gave you plenty of juice and ice cream for $100,000.

Fortunately I had good health insurance that paid for that surgery and hospital stay

There 60 picks in the NBA draft. Are you trying to tell me he gets drafted in those 60 picks with these stats. And why compared Oden to Bolden. Oden was good in college. Bolden has never came anywhere close than being just ok in college. When you watch him go up and down the court he runs like Dirk. Dirk the 2019 version.
STATS
2018-19 GP: 35 PPG: 5.3 REB 4.5 BLKs 1.7
2017-18 GP: 29 PPG: 3.9 REB 3.6 BLKs 1
2016- 17 GP: 24 PPG: 1.5 REB 1.1 BLKs 1.1

The stats really don't mean a lot. If Bolden plays on a lesser power conference team his numbers are significantly better.
