Maybe I missed something, but is he the new OC?

To answer your question as stated, no he is not our new OC. There has been no official statement as to who the next OC is to be. With all that stayed, there are rumors and best guesses that Gran is expected to be the next UK Football OC. If Gran is the next OC, don't expect anything official until after Cincys game tomorrow.

I think that it will begin to leak (likely from Cincy) before Monday.

Probably, but I am not expecting an official statement until Monday from either school (but I would love to be wrong and hearing about it by tomorrow night).

It wouldnt surprise me if he was the Y at Loserville game. I mean Jim Harbaugh did it at Michigan so #WHYNOT. So it plausible Gran could be announced then.

Well, there are a lot of obvious differences in these pairs:

Harbaugh:Gran, Michigan football:Kentucky football, Head Coach:Offensive Coordinator, Kentucky basketball:Michigan basketball

Even so, it would be a cool introduction.

I thought the Y was reserved for those that have accomplished something for UK. No?

An Offensive Coordinator part of the Y at a basketball game ? :flushed:
Yes! Anything to get us back on point! Meaning fans! I understand what u are saying though! It is not like he has been a head coach or a household name! But in my opinion Gran could put fans in the seats! And win games!

Exactly. If we dont have Commonwealth packed every game next year then how are we going to grow as a program. I think they should do this in the most watched UK bball game of the year to get fans attention and sell tickets next year.

Pretty sure it was Vince Marrow that was the Y last year...another Otis fan trying to set up a rift between bb& fb...I will be shocked if Gran ,or whoever the new OC is , isn't doing the Y at the next home game after he is hired

I still remember Rich Brooks speaking @ BB Madness in 2007. It was the night before UK beat #1 LSU. The crowd was absolutely electric. Probably the loudest cheer of the night, honestly. That energy also carried over to Commonwealth Stadium the next day where it climaxed when Braxton Kelly tackled the LSU RB to seal the upset victory... Meanwhile, most of the nation watched as it was the SEC/CBS game of the week.

No Michigan does not have a Y, but at a halftime for their bball team they introduced Jim Harbaugh as new head coach for their football team.
