Hope hope hope
Wish wish wish

for the love OF GOD!!!!

Who gets hurt first next year?
Carey or Moore???????
Truly has gotten old with Duke basketball. We can never go a full season, with a great starter not getting hurt. Makes you really wonder is it some kind of curse, or just unexplainable bad luck every year. Never seen anything like it.

A win today coupled with a Tuesday Zion return would set things right and give us some good momentum.

Seriously!!!
Has it always happened in Cameron?
Just wondering if there's some condensation issues or something?
Seems like players are constantly slipping and sliding?? I'm not sure how many of our injuries have been there vs road

Does anyone who understands knee injuries well enough know that if, after Zion is fully recovered, he'll actually be able to have a decent vertical now? His lack of athleticism has disappointing all season.

Trust me brother, I've been saying WAY more than hmmmmm today.
Oh you and me both. I had a loing conversation with the wife about what I preceive as some form of bad luck with injuries that seem to always come against Duke. It's like some form of punishment that no other teams gets on a yearly basics.

If Zion’s foot had slid instead of planting firmly and blowing up his shoe he’d probably be just fine right now.

Saw on ESPN.com that Zion has had no contact drills yet according to K,..he also said he wasn't close to playing yesterday so I got a feeling next time we see him on court at the earliest is our first round NCAA game...just a feeling I have by reading the article

I could be way off though

It's easy to read too far into things. I get the feeling that it will be @ unc at the latest. But my feeling isn't any more reliable than yours. But if the first game he is back is the first game of the NCAA'S, I am fine with that. The regular season title was simi important to me simply because of how long it has been and how almost guaranteed it felt like. That shio has sailed. So I have two very important wishes left. Not to get swept by unc and winning the national championship. Obviously the national championship is the big picture.

Yeah people can read stuff differently for sure but until I hear something official from K then I'm starting to lean to the "Zion is done" camp....not completely there just yet but leaning that way

Sure hope I'm dead wrong though...cause no Zion=no #6

I think tomorrow will be a very important day. If the news is all correct he’ll likely need to be cleared for contact for tomorrow’s practice.

If I can properly read the tea leaves I think a very specific plan is in place and he’ll be a full go tomorrow and play Tuesday. Just going by some vibes on this board I trust.

I’m not saying I think he plays Tuesday, but I think there’s no way he doesn’t play Saturday for a shot at cheater u. jmo

I agree. I’ll be SHOOK if he doesn’t play at Carolina... But I really, really hope he plays against WF, even if it’s only 15 minutes. Just enough playing time to shake any rust.

Hard to imagine him playing tomorrow having not had contact in practice. K said he was not close to playing Saturday against Miami so it would take a 180 for him to play Tuesday in my opinion.

Not really. We've been through this with Marvin Bagley, though.

I’m slow, I’m sure there’s a joke or sarcasm in here somewhere.

Kyrie was considered the consensus #1 pick in the NBA draft while at Duke.

Kyrie got hurt early in the season, and there was no time table on his return.

Folks kept waiting and waiting for any information on his return. When he did not return in the regular season, many begin to doubt if he would.

Kyrie finally returns during second round of NCAA tournament

I wish not to discuss the rest lol

No sarcasm or joke. Just saying that Zion's situation is similar to Marvin Bagley than Kyrie Irving. Williamson and Bagley had the same injury. Irving was far more unique. A grade 1 knee sprain can be healed as early as 10 days and in most cases, 2 weeks. The way he jumps up and down during the games he has missed leads me to believe that he is on that path. I am no doctor and have no inside source. Nor am I predicting anything. I just like apples to apples when making comparisons.
