....a woman that should have no earthly business being attracted to.

I work with the general public and sometimes I get that feeling whether she might be less than perfect mind you.

Maybe a chubby buddy, or a chic with a big tattoo on her thigh. Also as I get older I even check out women in their 50-60 sometimes. I am 52. It is the damnedest thing, Every now and then I might see one that has a face like a frying pan. When I was 15-16 I had a part time job and worked with this old man who was about 60 and he would always be talking about the older women. We'd be like "hell no".

I am married and don't have the nerve anymore to fool around but I wonder if all men go through this stuff.

You sound like a real prize. I know your wife must be sooooo glad she found you in life's wheel of fortune. Sounds like you're lucky you found ANYTHING ANYWHERE. My advice is to get on your knees and pray often that you're not totally alone in this world. You're a f--king pig and don't deserve whatever you do have. I have found that the older I get the more I find attractive about people I wouldn't have cared for when I was in my 20's. I might be watching a tv show and be like she is kinda hot. The person would be like a 5 but the added attraction inflation with age would move her up to like a 7. Another example would be women with lots of tattoos. I never really liked tattoos on women in the past, but now I am finding some with tattoos all over their body more attractive now.

I think when you are younger, in your mind you only liked the really hot women. Even if they were far out of your league, something still made you feel you could attain that level of woman. As you get older you realize you have absolutely no shot with a super hot woman (unless rich). That is when your 7's and 8's become the new 10's and your average 5's and 6's become your 7's and 8's.

It is no surprise that older guys find mediocre girls attractive. We've all noticed it as young men talking with older guys, and now you guys are simply turning in the disgusting older guy that will bang anyone that'll have him. Its part of the circle of life.

This is actually a good honest thread. As you get older you get attracted to some distinctly different things in women. We'll just say it is no longer purely based on appearance and leave it at that. Like the OP said it can be virtually anything. I have found that women with very submissive voices are a 5 alarm fire for me now. Kind of irritating as the women attached to those voices would never be the kind of women I would even remotely be interested in 5 years ago...

So while it may make you uncomfortable, the OP is just saying how it changes.

No, it's not lowering your standards so you can hit it... the point here is that what you are sexually attracted to changes. You develop fetishes more profoundly, I think. You know what the biggest one you actually hear of if men are honest... a whole lot of them want to watch somebody lay the wood to their old lady. Rampant. Once you pass 40 North points wherever the hell it wants to point and you can't do a thing about it.

As I get older, I'm starting to understand that I will always be fascinated by women and it really isn't a good thing. I believe that if a drug were made that stopped all thoughts of sex, women, and the pursuit of them, that in 3 years time we would have jet packs, a cure for cancer, a median annual income of at least a mil, and all guys would be as chill as David Carradine in Kung Fu.

Lots of truth being spewed in this thread. I'm in my 40s and I find myself pursuing a pretty wide variety of women. I just attributed it to being single after a long marriage, but maybe my age has something to do with it as well.

I'm 44 and generally have ZERO interest in any female who looks to be under 35 or so. This has happened within the past couple of years or so and it is the damndest thing.
