We changed our Brazilian Mastiff's name from Chica to Big Dog which is one of the coolest names for a dog ever.

Why not? Max is boring. It is short for Maximus, however. That's his registered name.

We got a shelter dog. When we went to get the chip changes, they said his original name was "Prince Vanilla". We changed it to Maverick. But when ever we play Vanilla Ice (which is frequently) he kicks his leg a little bit for old times sake.
