Damn, that's some **** right there. Mine went MUCH better than I expected; he actually hugged me when he left.

Sat him down, explained why I had no choice but to let him go, and that I wanted him to learn from his mistakes, work on correcting them, and grow as a person. Nice talk, and I wished him the best. I gave him some training tools to help him in some of the areas he needs help in, and, what I hope was some good advice to follow in the years ahead.

Maybe that's why I've never been killed when I fire someone, I try to send them off with some advice and tools to help them grow. :fistbump:
Glad you didn't get murdered in a fit of rage.

So. Are you still friends with his girlfriend? Can only imagine how he will explain his firing to her.
Since it went very well, (after all, he knew he was in deep ****), I think we'll still be friends.

I've been wondering what he will tell her, and of course I can't tell her, so that part remains to be seen.

what are the training tools? I've got my pencil and notebook out.
Company produced sexual harassment training booklet and video, training guide on what is, and isn't appropriate conversation in the workplace, training video and booklet on how to build a healthy relationship with your co-workers, etc, etc.

Thanks for asking, hope it helped.

I just terminated my daughter in law this week that works at one of my businesses. Just too much drama everyday and she wasn't doing a good enough job anyway. I had my son come in with her and explained to both why I had to do it and tried to smooth it over with a generous severance package. It hurt her feelings more than anything, started crying, etc., but it has been building for over a year now and had to be done.

Never hire family.

Yes, this is his 2nd offense; I should have let him go after the first time, but I thought I got my point across in a strong way that first time; apparently I didn't, or like I said, he's an idiot. I'm going with the latter.

Well, sounds like he thought he was talking to a friend and women being the dramatic **** stirers that they usually are at jobs, cost someone their livelihood.
