Sorry about your luck, lots of exciting action yesterday. Thing called a DVR can help as well.BS…people with lives don’t have time to watch every big game in college football.

If there’s a game worth watching, I’ll record it or watch it. But games against two middling ACC teams or two Big 12 teams don’t exactly get me revved up. I was at a game yesterday, so didn’t watch other games after a couple of the noon games.Sorry about your luck, lots of exciting action yesterday. Thing called a DVR can help as well.
Unlike you I don’t have to define or justify my fandom. There’s no prize for being the best fan of college football. I watch as much as I choose to watch, many of the games just aren’t that interesting. When you make the comments you do it's out of desperation.
No matter how busy one is they have time to watch games...even if it's after the fact in a condensed version which is how I watch most games
Going hunting or golfing or countless other things is "having a life"...its making different choices. Most people aren't sitting around watching football alone. It's usually with friends and/or family.
Maybe try that? Oh that's right...its only "living" if you watch Penn State lol
Because you just dont enjoy college football. Which is fine.Unlike you I don’t have to define or justify my fandom. There’s no prize for being the best fan of college football. I watch as much as I choose to watch, many of the games just aren’t that interesting.
If I didn’t enjoy it, I wouldn’t watch it. I haven’t watched Major League Baseball or the NBA in years….why? Because I don’t enjoy it. See how that works?Because you just dont enjoy college football. Which is fine.
Well that’s dumb. Mlb is tits since the pitch clock and one step out. It’s awesomeIf I didn’t enjoy it, I wouldn’t watch it. I haven’t watched Major League Baseball or the NBA in years….why? Because I don’t enjoy it. See how that works?
It’s still too slow to watch on TV. I love to watch it live, but it’s not a game for TV. Not to mention I spent much of my adult life watching baseball at multiple levels, I’ve had my fill of it.Well that’s dumb. Mlb is tits since the pitch clock and one step out. It’s awesome
Yet you said here you only make it a priority to watch Penn State football...If I didn’t enjoy it, I wouldn’t watch it. I haven’t watched Major League Baseball or the NBA in years….why? Because I don’t enjoy it. See how that works?
I watched Ole Miss-Oklahoma, Nebraska-NW, Vandy-Missouri, Bama-SC (the latter two I watched while tailgating)…then I watched the UK-Tenn game in person, so I didn’t watch any other evening games obviously.Yet you said here you only make it a priority to watch Penn State football...
What games did you watch this weekend? There were many great ones.
Then your statement earlier doesn't make sense.I watched Ole Miss-Oklahoma, Nebraska-NW, Vandy-Missouri, Bama-SC (the latter two I watched while tailgating)…then I watched the UK-Tenn game in person, so I didn’t watch any other evening games obviously.
I said I’m a PSU fan who likes college football….so how does that not make sense? Then your statement earlier doesn't make sense.
Yes, apparently I’m not a true college football fan because I prioritize watching PSU games…who knew?I'm going out on a limb and guessing that there's actually a "you're not a real fan" dispute with Ignored User ... and I'm guessing that Ignored User is Lando. There are few things sadder than adults engaged in a "true fan" dispute, so I hope I'm wrong.

Correct...which isn't just saying everything before the "but"I said I was a PSU fan who liked college football but PSU is the only team I make sure to watch every weekend, which means exactly what I said.
This is a pointless discussion. You can be a fan of one team and still be a fan of the sport. How many Steeler games do you think Pittsburgh fans miss to watch other teams play? Does that mean they’re not NFL fans?Correct...which isn't just saying everything before the "but"

I have but the problem lies with getting money in and out. The offshore I used prior to Hard Rock made it really difficult to get deposits because I couldn't just use a credit/debit card directly without having to jump through hoops. Someone I know that uses Bovada says it's a giant painful process to get money out from them. Not that I've had much of a success needing to get money out...You should check out some of the reputable offshore options.

Joking but only kind of
This goes back to my point. There's a difference between being a Steelers fan and saying you only "make an effort" to watch their games while skipping Thurs Sunday and Monday games or day games on Sunday when they aren't playing at that time. Yes, life can get in the way (I thankfully had to miss most of UCLA/PSU) but I make an effort to watch every game I can.

So it wasn’t just me thinking exactly this.Sheesh. This is an argument for the sake of arguing.
Why would you be embarrassed? You’re not actually involved with or a part of the team. This year sucks, sure. But I’m not embarrassed by a football team I root for just because they lost too many games and I don’t think you should be either.I hate to say it, but there’s a little embarrassment. If you’re an alum, and people know it, they have a little smugness about the season.
I have a brother in law who said pretty much the same thing about the Steelers. He's a guy who wears a Steelers jersey to Church. I agreed with him, but told him then he shouldn't brag when they do well. He didn't throw a pass or make a tackle. He sees a difference. I don't, but no matter. He's a terrific guy otherwise.^ Holy Sheetz, you hit right on the head. I have never figured out why people say, this loss, this team, yada yada is embarrassing. We fans didn’t lose, we didn’t miss tackles, we didn’t make boneheaded decisions/ mistakes, outcomes of a game really don’t impact our lives.
I have never been embarrassed by the performance of one of my sports teams, even if they **** the bed.
Again we literally chant "We Are".^ Holy Sheetz, you hit right on the head. I have never figured out why people say, this loss, this team, yada yada is embarrassing. Lol. Frustration, absolutely. Embarrassment, no. It’s beyond ridiculous for you to actually get embarrassed by the result of a sporting event. Clearly you don’t comprehend this.Again we literally chant "We Are".
Penn State football represents the University most of us attended. For others, it represents their home state to ties to family members. Of course people will take pride is success and feel embarrassment/frustration over disappointed. Otherwise no one would spend the time and money they have on football. It's beyond ridiculous to pretend you don’t comprehend this.
Still one of the places I want to go for a game, as I was accepted at MSU out of high school, but my guidance counselor screwed up my Merit Scholarship chances by holding my award info for the HS awards at the end of the year (I was being recruited as a Merit Scholar). I didn't know I'd gotten to the next step until after the school year, as I was on an exchange program when awards were given in May. No complaints as Penn State was good to me, but ... always wondered.I'm visiting East Lansing on 11/15 to accompany one of my best friends who is an MSU graduate. I don't know what to expect. The last time I was there was 1994.
Not a chance. Love the game of cfb regardless of how my favorite teams are doing. Look at the season so far - IU ranked 2nd, GTech 8th, Vandy 9th???? Never would have imagined that in my lifetime. Exciting times.
Pure entertainment. That is all it is, not a lifestyle.
You should have a great time. We found the fans friendly, the campus attractive and chill. Solid little stadium and the town has all sorts of restaurants and bars to explore. Agree. Always enjoy the trip to East Lansing. Walkable campus to downtown. Nice stadium. Always stay at Kellogg conference center and hotel. Right next to stadium. Peanut barrell good spot along with Harrison’s Roadhouse and Crunchys. . Pizza house good place to watch other games. They run a shuttle from their restaurant fo stadium. Bowdies chophouse in a!adding is excellent. You should have a great time. We found the fans friendly, the campus attractive and chill. Have a great trip. ( also, it was only a four hour drive from the Burgh IIRC).
