It does include a few football players.
Hawkeyes in trouble

The "tampering with records" part is worse than the actual crime.
Here's some more gems from their board:
"The NCAA rules are pretty strict. Being involved doesn't necessarily make one a bad person. Still should have know better of course."
And:
"Remind me again why gambling is worse than a dwi?"
And:
"It wasnt covered/emphasized as much as you would think at Iowa, Iowa State or any other campus across the country. For **** sakes ESPN is on all day in the football player lounges with constant ads on for Fanduel, Draftkings, etc..........Safe to say it wasnt taken that seriously before this. It will be moving forward everywhere, but Iowa and Iowa State are taking the heat for the entire country."
And:
"Kirk should just give the middle finger to the NCAA and play him anyway."

Not sure why iowa has such a problem with underage gambling when they're also challenging child labor laws. When the kid can run a sausage grinder for 12 hours straight a day he should be able to take a load off with a bit of action, you know?
Word is there's lots of sausage parties out in those corn fields!
Sure dude, play an ineligible player and see how that works out for you.
Don’t be a wet blanket. Iowa should be encouraged to play these upstanding young men. (With the hope, of course, of Iowa forfeiting games the ineligible players played in.)
The
The ways things are now, play the ineligible player. What will the low-life NCAA do? Oh no, maybe a bowl ban in 5 years. Like that will even affect those losers.
can we pin this thread to the top of the Normal Thread section so every morning when I'm having my coffee in bed getting caught up on world events I can be reminded of how big a shiitshow it is there in Iowa City?
Noah Shannon's appeal to NCAA denied, ending Iowa career
Iowa defensive tackle Noah Shannon's appeal to the NCAA regarding his yearlong suspension has been denied, Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz announced Tuesday, meaning his collegiate career is over after a state investigation into illegal betting by athletes.

Given that one of our former football players is suspended from the NFL for gambling, I'm hesitant to rag on someone else's issues (fun though it may be). Back in the day when the Sandusky stuff was going down, there were a whole lot of fanbases like tOSU, MSU, and Me-chicken who piled on us and said "never here"--and, of course, ended up having their own issues. I'll not at all be shocked if there's some of this everywhere. Including us. Wish it were otherwise, but human nature....
Yo that looks like 49 year old Kate Moss!BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
